I would have to agree. Mids in 2011 are more like the regs of 10 years ago. I do remember a time when mids were good enough that today i could have sold that shit for 20 a gram to some HS kids. (I dont sell pot, just making a point) But the truth of that matter is that most of the commercial 'mids' in our area today all come from mexico where the emphasis is so high on production that the quality lacks. South of the border after the crop fully mature the plants are cut at the stem and left to dry in the sun, thus bleaching the THC and lowering its potency/taste/smell/effect. That being said ive seen plants grown here in PA from normal mexico mids that actually turn out to be beautiful plants when taken care of properly. Mids is a great choice for a first timer looking for seeds; theyre free and very abundant.pensylvania mids r disgusting usually
sound good glad to see another pa grower may i recommend Barney farms lsd to you list of strains i dont think you will be disappointedPA represent! South-East PA here. This will be my 2nd season outdoors. 1 of my 4 plants last year got found (because it was still growing into November) and it was near my others ,so now I am gonna have to find a new spot or at least deeper in the woods.
Not sure what strains to go with yet. Definitely something that finishes by September or early October. Last time I started to get some mold by October, so mold resistant strains like the (Pineapple Chunk) also look appealing. Here are some of the strains I am thinking about and the prices for feminized 5 packs:
Barney's Farms - Vanilla Kush (♀ [$54.69]
Barney's Farms - Pineapple Chunk (♀ [$51.47]
G13 Labs - Blueberry Gum (♀ [$48.25]
Nirvana - Ice (♀ [$40.21]
Green House Seed Co - Train Wreck (♀ [$40.21]
Green House Seed Co - The Church (♀ [$27.34]
Unless I do "Pick & Mix" then I will probably just get 2 different strains of packs of 5 feminized seeds. I'm leaning towards Barney's Farms Vanilla Kush or Pineapple Chunk and then something with a Bubblegum or Blueberry taste/smell. Let me know if any of you have any recommendations or have grown these strains before!
Dude I can't take much more of it this year. I'm seriously considering moving somewhere warm just to get away from it. It's been literally a sheet of ice here for the past week.View attachment 1432578 everyone enjoying the snow?
i feel ya i have a 08 ford mustang with racing tires not snow tires and a driveway with 3 inches of ice it is a pain in the ass to get anywhere but the kitty litter seems to be working goodSports car + nearly bald tires = me in a ditch at some point this winter.
Fo real.... makes you feel all sticky. Plus you can get grey mold and all your buds will turn to mush.Yea the humidity is a killer!
That's why I'm looking at strains that finish by early October. Temperature wise, I think most of us (except maybe the northern tier) are good til at least mid, probably late October, but it's so wet here in the fall. At least last fall was. I didn't get hit too hard with the mold, but I had to pick two of my girls a little earlier than I would have liked.Fo real.... makes you feel all sticky. Plus you can get grey mold and all your buds will turn to mush.
Started indoors around the first week of May, then after 2-3 weeks transplanted them outside.weather is looking good in PA! just wondering when u started outside last year? im hoping for an early spring.
