I've been fighting with constant muscle spasms and debilitating pain since about february, and I'm just curious to know what people consider the best pain relief/muscle relaxing strains out there today.

Thanks everyone, Peace n love<3

The above posts are correct. I'm about to try Dr. Feelgood from Short Stuff seeds. I like the rest of their autoflower line up. It is indica and will probably be very easy to grow like the rest of their strains, especially if you're new to this hobby.

yea i've definitely heard that indica's are the best for pain relief..I've only heard a few things about UBC chemo, but what i have heard i'd definitely wanna tame this badboy, vancouverseedbank doesnt have it that i can find :(, are there any other known places to get ubc chemo??

what about white widow for pain relieving qualities?

i've also looked a bit into the Herijuana, does it really make your body go like totally numb?

i'm definitely qualify as a heavy smoker and i have a really high tolerance, so the higher the potency the better basically

GDP (Grand Daddy Purple) is a great strain for relaxing, pain relief, and muscle spasms, without putting you to sleep.
White Rhino is another good strain for these problems, but packs way more of a knock out punch.

I use Indicas exclusively for pain. I prefer MK Ultra, GDP, Ingrid or Mr.Nice. You have to like the "couch-lock" to get the adequate pain relief.

Research the various strains The CBD Crew, Scott Blakey (AKA Shantibaba) and Jamie from resin seeds have been working on. They have roughly equal proportions, roughly 50/50 THC and CBD. You can find one of the strains, Z7, on the Mr. Nice Seeds auction right now.

https://www.mrnice.nl/auctions/browse.php?id=206

Also research Project CBD, another group working to create high CBD strains. They are working in conjunction with The CBD Crew. The following link will take you to a page with a list of high CBD strains they have been involved with or know about so far.

http://projectcbd.org/Availability.html#Marketing

Harlequin was already mentioned, and that is one you will find in the list.

Others would be:

STRAINS

Sour Tsunami

Omrita Rx3

Jamaican Lion

Cannatonic

Juanita la Lagrimosa

Misty

Good Medicine

Maz's Cheese

TB x OGK

OG Afghani

Jamaican Skunk

Atomic Jam

Downtown Diesel

Cotton Candy x Diesel

Sugaree x Blue Diesel

SFV

R-4

Bubblegum Kush

Intensive Care OG Kush

Kushage

Soma A+

Stinky Purple

Poison OG

Granny Durkel

Wu#1

Phenom Phen

Purple Diesel

Silver Dragon

Monkey Balls

F5 Manawell

Sweet SF x OG

Black Queen

And for your more everyday strains that are higher in THC and lower in CBD, many more of a Mr. Toad's Wild Ride strain than anything, but still claimed to have at least some degree of medicinal value, you can follow this link and find a good number of strains.

http://www.medicalmarijuanastrains.com/strain-guide/

It lists them in categories like:

Anxiety
Asthma
Back Pain (also see pain)
Body Buzz
Calming / Relaxing
Clear Head
Couch Lock
Creativity
Day Time Use
Depression
Energizing
Increase Appetite / Munchies
Headaches (also see pain)
Insomnia
Muscle Relaxant
Nausea
Night Time Use
Pain
Social Anxiety
Socializing

Good luck!

One thing that medicinal users need to keep in mind, especially new ones, is that potency does not always equate to being medicinal or as medicinal as some other strains will be, including ones that are way less potent. The most famous named strain ever with potency like crazy could easily turn out to be a horrible choice of medication for many medicinal users.View attachment 1952531

Think about the newest latest true medicinal strains that have been created for maximum medicinal value. Few, if any, will provide someone with Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. CBD has the most medicinal value. Since THC and CBD both stem from the same precursor element, CBGA, that then turns into both THVA and CBDA (and CBCA) which then of course becomes THC, CBD (and CBC), given that there is a limited amount of CBGA the more of it that goes to making increased levels of CBDA/CBD the less there is to go to make THCA/THC, and when more goes to make THCA/THC there is less to make the more medicinal CBDA/CBD.

So high-test potency, as in major levels of THC, should not be the top of the list of priorities for most medicinal tokers when they go searching for medication. At least not if what they really want and need is the best medication for them rather than mostly wanting Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

wow! that diagram is absolutely amazing! Thanks Brick!
I have been trying to find something like it that would list illnesses and medical conditions and that cannabinoid or cannabinoids give the most relief for each illness or condition. But I thought that one might be enough to show the value of CBD.

In all but one or two of the strains listed on Project CBD's website THC percentages are only in the single digit range, while CBD percentages are much higher, and of the one or two where there the THC percentage is higher than CBD percentage the highest is only something like 10% or 12%.

I would never say that high THC strains have no true medicinal value, but is it normally minimal compared to a high CBD strain. But as long as at least some medicinal value can be claimed, even if only an absolutely minimal amount, a breeder will often claim the strain to be a medicinal strain. The medicinal user market is growing and every breeder wants a slice of the pie, they want medicinal use customers even if they do not breed strains that are really medicinal strains.

Also, since the belief that is held by many about true medicinal strains is that they have to be the most potent a number of recreational users will pick what they grow from lists of medicinal strains. Their assumption is if it's medicinal, it has to be the best, the most potent, the most kick-ass pot available that will give them the Mr. Toad's Wilde Ride that they want. So that's another reason why if a breeder can claim at least some minimal amount of medicinal value to their strains that they will call them medicinal. Then others will assume they have to be among the very best when it comes to potency.

yea i guess it's just all about marketing, the more seeds they sell the more money goes in their pocket.. that chart you put in your previous post brick is unreal, before i def thought it was a lot more black and white

as long as it makes the pain a little bit more bearable, and get's me stoned, then im a happy toker :).. zoomers and cid are much better for mr toads wild ride anyways :P

i have lot's of time to make a decision, since my first grow will be no sooner than next spring/summer

i guess it's just "to each their own" everybody's body reacts differently to different things.
