How can anyone completely control their children? They can try to teach and forewarn but they can't make their decisions, if they did constantly she would be accused of being a house nazi. I honestly cannot believe people are attacking her daughters, it is incredibly trivial and irrelevant. Its just sad.

it's just that she thinks that schools that teach sex education and birth control don't deserve funding. That's what abstinence only education means.

I'm sure glad they didn't have AIDS when I was young, crabs and Ghonorrea, some syphilis, but all could be cured with some penecillan or some blue ointment. I was lucky, only got crabs. No condoms for our age of sex pistols. Today, I'd be damned sure to wear one. Sex was pretty lax where I grew up, plenty of first date encounters.

I did all that sex education in school, and there were still pregnancies and STDs rampant. I'm not pro abstinence, I am pro responsibility. If you mess up, you deal with the consequences, not wave a wand and tell the good doctor to take the little bothersome thing away so you can have some more fun.
This is trivial, admit it. Attack her on a real issue.

I've checked you're little accusation, and I do not see where she got the money. She didn't go ahead because it would cost to much for the taxpayers, so they didn't give a dime.

We have conflicting sources, mine says that she did NOT tax the Alaskans, so how would she keep that money?
Second, she didn't because of one, the funding, and two she felt like exploring alternate routes. Tough decision to make but she made it.

The project has some federal money but is short about $300 million. No one expects Congress to kick in any more cash, and most legislators aren’t willing to open up the state checkbook. So the likely place to find $300 million is from the pockets of users. But we’re not talking about dropping a few coins into a toll basket. Get ready to dig into your wallet and pull out a lot of bills to drive on a long approach ramp to climb 200 feet in the air on one bridge, then down on a middle island, then up 120 feet in the air on a second bridge to reach the airport island, and down again on another long ramp. Or just leave it as is, and ride the shuttle ferry a few minutes for the short walk to the terminal.
At that point, Palin was still allowing design and feasibility to still go forward. So where are we now:
-She inherited the controversial project, knowing there was a need.
-The transition team’s reports showed the that project, plus another, were not fiscally responsible and the federal funding came no where close to paying for the bridge.
-She did not allocate any State monies for go ahead with the expensive bridge
-Many Alaskans, including those in Ketchikan, were also opposed to the bridge at that expense
