Panama red?

I was wondering if anybody knows why my panama red plant has not started flowering. It is september, 17, 2015. There is no sign of flowering at all. I live in California near sanfrancisco in the valley. It is an outdoor grow all other plants are almost ready to be harvested in october. Post pics of your panama reds. And any info on this strain. Oh and I started this plant from seed I got from a friend it is about 8 feet tall going on 9 feet.

Yeah my buddy told me it was a land race forgot to mention that. I'm trying to figure out when to expect to see them flowering. And if I'm even able to grow it in my location.

When I was younger, I used to hear the old guys talk about panama red alot. Never seen it before and the old heads just had memories. Might be hard to get strain specific replys on a true landrace sativa.

If I'm not mistaken, panama red was popular in Vietnam during the war.

Best of luck to you with the unique plants. I've heard of real sativas flowering well into November before.

Everybody wants to smoke dr. Grinspoons n such but nobody wants to grow them lol

Old school landrace Equatorial Sativa Related to Colombian Punta Roja
I'm surprised it has not flowered for you yet......It maybe environmental.......Once it does. Your looking at 16 weeks of flower and some phenos are longer.....

This, like many other landrace Sativa's are best done by experienced growers!

Someone said it was popular in Vietnam.....Nope! Vietnamese Black and various Thai strains were all over the place.....My brother brought home seeds and samples...OJ's were nice. Popular with the ladies ...... I still have the Vietnamese Black. Run it once a year to finish at Thanksgiving to be ready for Christmas.....A Sativa lovers dream!
