Paranoia! Yellowing with nutes on the way!

Hi everyone!

Getting into flowering and only had veg nutes. I’m assuuuuuming that the yellowing is because it needs more food? I have bloom nutes on the way, getting here Thursday and I’ll start giving it nutes then.
All things considered, think it should heal up and be healthy? All the new growth is really dark and healthy looking, it’s just some of the older leaves that are starting to yellow.

Should I pick those off? Or leave them on and see if they get back to a nicer green? Pretty new to all of this, so any advice you can give is much appreciated.

thank you all!

Only take off the leaves once they've fully yellowed and are literally ready to fall off. Otherwise the plants will just move on to feeding off the other leaves quicker. Remember they're taking from the leaves what should have been in the soil...and once you do feed, it will probably take a few days for them to metabolize the nutrients anyway.

Okay awesome. Thank you both for the help! I was picking some off, but yeah really only the ones that were barely hanging on. I’ll be sure to at least leave them until I start feeding it more. I appreciate it!

Your plant looks much better than mine, and mine is still hanging in there and the flowers are fattening up. Mine is like a light olive green from head to foot now and the bottom leaves are bleached light yellow and falling off.

Dang sorry to hear that man. Hopefully yours holds on long term. I’m really hoping that once I get it this food that it’ll help it stay more green. Smells wonderful already haha. It’s gelato #41

I read somewhere that a plant can survive a deficiency but never/rarely survive an overdose. So go easy with those nutes when they arrive.

I'm in the same boat. About to give first Bloom feed and have to be careful not to kill her with love, because she looks like my olive princess. She has nice buds, orange hairs starting up now.

Veg nutes are fine during first couple weeks of ‘preflower / transition ‘ - it aids plant during stretch phase.
Awesome, good to know. Maybe I’ll give it some veg nutes tomorrow to help tide it over until Thursday. If I wind up giving it veg nutes tomorrow I’ll probably hold off until I get it the bloom nutes as I won’t want to overdo it. I usually go pretty light with those too for the same reason. It was doing well with just straight water so always better to err on the cautious side!
