Paranoid, so I cut up my plants! HELP

Just about an hour ago, there was a helicopter circling my house for a good 5-10min. The copter was right above my house, and would not leave. I was trippin, so I waited for it to fly away, but it never did. So I called a buddy, and he told me better safe than sorry. So I ditched my small grow. It was 5 plants, but I cannot afford to be arrested for this, especially when my parents are the ones paying for my rent. 5 plants here is prison time.

Anyways, can you guys help me out, and persuade me that this was the right decision. Even thought I lost out on about 4-5 Ounces and spent a good 500-600 for my setup i built. FUUUUML

lol, well..i was right about the helicopter being the police, and they were circling my house for a good 15min, and got real close to my house. I think maybe a neibor smelled something because Im growing in my garage, and don't have a good filtering system.

BUT, Yes! I did cut all my plants up, when i was done, i didnt hear anymore chopper noise, so he had left. I duno, but this is porbobly good that I did this, i was way too worried about getting caught,

Is there anythinng I can do with premature bud? I had another 3 weeks till harvest. FML!!!

you can dry it and cure it and smoke it or make hash or cookies etc

I dont get it...U were scared cuz a chopper was hovering over your house, and its prison time if you got caught right? Yet all the evidence of a mj grow and the mj itself are still in your home? So what did killing the plants accomplish? All or nothing. Dont do the crime if you cant do the time. You could still face prison time probably, for having reminants of mj plant, and bud plus grow materials, makes no diff whether the plants are still potted. Whether the police woulda busted in in the remaining 3 weeks of ur grow, like u said, or not, if they were to bust in during the next three weeks anyways, despite what u did, they would still find everything as if u were growing, only the lights off. Wouldnt stop em. There's not much you can do once the cops do come. You can't flush all the evidence down the toilet. All or nothing. So i'd reccommend either getting rid of all evidencene (or at least all evidence down to the decriminalized amount if any in ur area) , if the coppers choppers really were hovering directly over ur house (which sounds like a paranoid exageration of a fly-by). And I'm pretty sure your lights don't even need to be on for thermal imaging cameras to detect presence of weed plants. Cops cameras can spot an mj plant in an entire cornfield because of the (purple i think) light spectrum the plant gives off. If the cops busted in right now, u couldnt do shit about it except, accept it. But don't listen to me

On average, again on average I have 12 to 20 choppers (pd,news,marines,coasties,filmcrew,private) flying low enough that I can see faces in the cockpit (wonder what they call it when a woman is behind the stick) every dang ol' day of the year.

I've had em light up my yard at night looking for some runner from leo. Hell, they can't light up yer house with IR, check the laws.

I've had a shit load of 13 footers and 9 footers in the back and never had the knock on the door at 4 am.

Best advice on here. Continue growing & hope they come & take a look. Then next time their FLIR picks up your heat signature, they will know that you are only growing exotic Tomatoes from Tuscany.

LOL funny stuff. Its gonna be the one that you don't hear or see that gets you. There not coming in the day to get a heat sig off your house for growing cuz heat is coming off every thing. you were fine. IF you don't believe me try to catch the show dea on spike they never hover and are so high up that you would never hear em. Reminds me of a time when a chopper was over my house while me and my friend was smoken and he thought they could tell.

Better to be paranoid and plant-less than sitting in Prison. I would have already had everything out of my house by now, but then again we don't get helicopters hovering over peoples houses out here very much, so anyone that did you could rest assured they where probably being scanned by a FLIR camera. Which even though it is Illegal now, they still do it to people anyway here in the south.

They do it here too illegally & I'm in a different country! It makes not 1 bit of difference if its day or night in the winter either.
Read up on exotic tomato strains.

LOL IF you guys think there gonna blow there cover like that your crazy no way there gonna hover over your house while they look at it for heat. They would do it miles away. Where your not gonna hear or see them. When the guys home no less if they went to all the trouble to get a chopper you'd think they'd come at a time when the guys not home so he would't destroy evidence.

I got rid of everything except my nutes and grow box. Im going to go pick up something like tomatoes to put inside for now. But I am real happy I ditched my grow. Better be safe than sorry, right. I would hate to get 2yrs per plants in prison. That would ruin my life.

You sir were not psychologically ready to grow, it's good that you stopped before making your life hell with paranoia.

I doubt the chopper was running FLIR in the daytime. He'd get everything equally lit up.

Propaganda shows like CSI and the such cause these assumptions that the man is much much MUCH smarter and equipped than they really are.

Some will call you overly paranoid. FLIR Cannot see through your home unless you really have some insulation problems (it happens).

However you were growing in the Garage and not controlling your smell. For this reason, I don't think you were just being paranoid.



And IDK what this guy is talking about, but cops DO spot pot plants based on their specific shade of green. I know that sounds weird, but you know how tuned in you can get when you do something over and over again. Thats Barry Cooper info btw.
