so im in the room looking at the 51 seeds inprop tray when i notice ol buddy has the heating mat full balst a heater blowing and a 2ft t5 ballast holding 4 bulbs rifgt on top of dome. grrrrr so the cubes were 100 degrees for at least two days. are the seeds ruined?

Prob not all ruined, it's in their genes to sprout at the right conditions, it's how they survive.

holy shit i would think so why did he do this obviously he dosent know shit put them in a napkin wet and stick in a plastic bag no need for all of that shit when they grow makeshure not to give them any nutes for the first 2 weeks that usally how eveyone messes up and when youu do give nutes only give 1/4 strenght and dont get mircal grow 3 month or 6 month soil it will kill your plants

if they sprout i would think that intense of heat would hurt them its summer time isnt it warm enough to germ seeds like everyone elts when you start trying to make shit more complicated than it is will mess up your plants

yeah and get them out of the humidity dome. thats a sure fire way to kill your seeds and sprouts through damping off

i herd this before when i had to take a class for getting busted with weed

ya its an ebb and flow hydro system so rockwool cubes are good the dome is good. i just want to know if 100degree root zone temp for two days going to damage seeds beyond repair, or will they still sprout? 51 seeds 31 nl and rest strain unknown after 2 days no sprouts i knew something was wrong.

That is how I do it, heating pad under and cfl sitting maybe a couple inches off dome, I move the light when I go back there to the left to the right etc. I take the dome off once to twice a day to let a little of the humid air out. Once they sprout I get rid of the heating pad and when they get to the top of the dome off to the solo cup they go .

they may not all be ruined but damn, a heating mat and a heater? im pretty far up north and i wouldnt be using either in this hot weather. i never use a heating mat for seeds. just place them between a wet paper towel. place it in a small airtight dark container like an old washed out snus or chew container. place it in a warmer area you dont need any heat unless it's in a cold area. i just place them up in a closet. after a root starts, place them in the soil.

i only use a heating mat for clones.

i agree. my friend was just an easy sale for the guy at the hydro store and believes everything he tells him. he thinks nobody on these kind of fourms knows whats up. he is wrong just look at hundred degree root zone on a damn tray of beans that may be trash now.
