I went Elite for many reasons. Most far more complex for you to grasp.

And medium as a metaphor has nothing to do with presidential debates. Look at the transcripts then. You really should read Postman's book - your understanding of this basic idea is clearly lacking. Visual media, when it's intention is to educate, is far inferior to the written word. Hello?

And I never said that Iraq was destabilized under Bush - AFGHANISTAN was! I said Afghanistan and yet you presumptuously criticize me because you thought I said Iraq? Hmmm.....

And I will not admit that there was a strategic value in enticing the enemy into foreign territory because it posits intention onto Bush when the only motive he worked with was revenge for his father. He didn't like the ass-kicking that his father received, so he wanted to finish the job. Plain and simple. He lied to get congress and the people of the us to go along with it. He also ruined the career of Valerie Plame in the process.

And finally, Clinton understood the threat that Osama posed. He also knew that Osama worked for the CIA under, oh, which president was that...? Due to these complexities, he chose to monitor their activity and make al qaeda priority number 1 for Bush's transition into office. It was clearly noted that Clinton made a big deal about Osama. Bush did nothing in his 8 months to affront this attack. Condoleeza Rice had no clue. They completely ignored Clinton's intelligence, which was clearly accurate.

He monitored bin Laden. Swell. But what did he do about bin Laden when he had the opportunity? You say he briefed Bush and that I do not dispute. He punted.

A look at the casualty figures tells a better story than I can. Pay close attention the the Afghanistan total as it is sure to multiply under the Chosen One.

Wheres a little factcheck on what clinton did or did not do for Osama.http://www.factcheck.org/article444.html but it is quite clear that Bush Admin dropped the ball big time. Also why would you wish or even make a statement like that about the total going up in Afghan under Obama....??? We needed more troops in Afghan to finish what Bush did not....Dude I pray for my service men/woman daily..I would never wish them any harm or ever make a statement as such....
