pc case

i have this dissaproving roomate and he hates the idea of having a whole bunch of weed plants growing in our flat sooooo...
i thought about the pc case grow boxes that i saw on the net a while ago and thought i could probably build one from my old computer, i dont smoke that much and i dont need a huge amount of pot so my question is; are these things able to grow one or two plants at all or are they totally useless?

if you're gonna build something, go get a cabinet or a dresser and retrofit it to your specs for a veg and a flowering section. install the lights in the top and ventilate. bam! weed is growing. DIY is awesome. it really is. buy a dresser, buy a cabinet, buy a chest of drawers...w/e...or build a big box of wood. D I Y.
