Always love seeing a new PC grow, especially one that pushes the limits (I would have NEVER tried that sized bulb in a PC) and proves that it can work.

@people concerned about wiring PC fans...simplest way is take an old phone charger, and splice it with a PC fan, you wont be able to control the speed or voltage, but its such low voltage/amperage that you can usually connect multiple fans with no issues, just make sure the AC plug doesnt get too hot.

You need to make sure the draw from the fans doesn't exceed that of the AC adapter. If the AC is rated for 500mA and you fans are drawing 0.25A (250mA) each, you can only have 2 fans. I highly recommend buying a 12V adapter with a proper fan controller if you want to use PC fans.

Also, phone chargers usually range from 3.6-5V which will prevent you from moving as much air as you would with a 12V (or even 9V) adapter.

I snagged this on eBay a while ago: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/110748123220?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

It has a 2A rating, so there's minimal chance of overload... I'm even planning on running my little 12V res pump off of it.

It comes with a terminal adapter that prevents you from having to ruin the AC to splice in fans. And to keep things safe you should either solder your splices, or use a terminal strip to screw things down (makes updates easier)...

Where'd you get the reflective material for the inside of your case?

Is is reflective insulation, or actual Mylar?

The main reason is that my apartment is like 247 square feet. I have no possibillity to throw up any cabinets, tents or anything like that, which of course sucks.
I'm already using the cabinets that is included in the apartment for my 'real' grow (in my sig), this PC grow is just ment to work as a bonus, getting some smoke out while I wait for my 'real' plant to be harvested.

Also, I find a PC case great for experimenting/try out different strains.

Thanks for those pics bob, what kind of temperatures are you seeing? Looking into getting one of these myself

Constant 78, a little cooler when the plants are not as big. The thing Is I have never had to worry about the temps. Two intake fans and one exhaust keep the air really moving. I have actually added two extra lights in the past (6 total) for light to the under layers of the plant and never had temps budge. I think also the amount of air movement has really beefed up the stalks on my plants. Never had a single broken stem with plants out of this pc. You should see the size of the stalks on the auto assassins currently on the go.
I do recommend the unit. He was fast in delivering, ready to go, and not a problem. I think between hassle and cost it would be hard to make this size unit for what he is charging. I think a roll of diamond Mylar is something like $70, never mind a 26" pc case

The dude is growing an auto strain, meaning no photoperiod.

Thanx rain, and patty is right. Autos can grow up to 24/0 lighting, in the past I have stuck with 18/6 and have had great success. However after reading up on the assassin, I decided maybe 20/4 would suit it better. Autos do not do well 12/12, and thus other techniques need to be followed to ensure maximum growth. It is my personal opinion that if you are looking to grow regular plants, try to stick to a cabinet or a closet something with more room to give the plants some size. Other wise you are just sacrificing the potential yield of a beautiful plant. Check out electronug, although we may disagree on what's good for a pc, the guy honestly knows how to build a cabinet. A setup such as his will work perfect for regular plants. I have grown many of a regular plant in a pc setup but do to space limitations, you are looking at a very short veg time. Due to the length of time it takes on regular plants, you are looking at a longer period of time for similar yields as autos. It also depends on your method of growing. I prefer to fim over topping and lst' ing over scrog. Again it's personal choice on method for how you want to grow. Having said all this my personal choice IS regular plants over autos, I just keep them in the closet and leave the autos to the pc.

To see my closet grow, it can be found on utube under ne1cangrow. Peace and high times to all.

Very nice mate, definitely will help tied you over. Your getting closer to the end. I'm guessing about 15 days to chop time? Another suggestion for your current pc. If you are going to look at a second one, the gear you have got now would work well too keep a mom healthy and happy for you to take clones for your closet. Keep pruning and on an 18/6, and you would sustain her for a long time. Or if you like to experiment, when your girls are done flowering in the closet, throw one in the box after the chop on 24/0 for a few days and then back to 18/6 veg. It will regenerate the lady for a second round off the same plant. Just some ideas on playing around bro.

Good work!!!
