PC Grow :12/12 from seed or auto strain ?

I find myself with a technical question to resolve before i begin. I am doing a Pc Grow see Pics for stealth reasons i can no longer have my beloved aqua farm and Hps. This has to be secret Santa Fm even down to the last detail, ie Twin Exhaust Fan running all night ,sound of the pump in the DWC chamber i have built the whole nine yards. So i have seeds ,my Fav Sensi Star or a autoflower strain 60 day number low girl its called which i got as i needed a small plant to fit in my case. If it worked i would move on to low ryder etc. However i have been reading these need 18/6 start to finish or it would end up Pish. I have been reading about 12/12 from seed and i think i could LST it within the confines of the Pc ut would it work?? how tall would it be. I am trying to source a smaller dwc chamber Height wise , but i am happy with what i have as it can take more water this version if i go smaller it means less water and more frequent topping up etc. Has anyone found themselfs in the same prediciment ? what would you do in my shoes ,the 12/12 really works for me with scheduling and tower downtime etc , less attention , less questions. Its a 24" Tower with a 125 Watt Red Spec Envirolite. Pc Fan at the bottom pulling air in and Twin xbox 360 Fans pulling air out at a great rate lol. It also has my home built DWC chamber. Lined in White and Black

Any feedback , Ideas ,Suggestions appreciated ....

yo bro... you have to veg your plant(18/6) for a little to get soom noods. while vegging is time to LST train. Then when you get about a little more then a little pass halfway across the trainner start flowering. it should take you like 2 weeks to veg to get a good plant off LST. but look around to and read the forum cause its filled with lot of info. I'm doing my first stealth pc grow right now. But has used the LST technique before. good luck, also you still have to veg autoflowering plant it usally happens about the 26th day of veg. so keep that im mind

I disagree. You can (I have multiple times) grow 12/12 from seed. Some strains will flower quickly and develop nodes as they flower, others will grow and get nodes, then flower. It depends on the strain. I have gotten good yields 12/12 from seed on regular strains.

This picture is 4-5 weeks of 12/12, just showed sex, topped once, lots of nodes.

Also, I grow in a 24" box and I think you would be fine with a regular strain. What I would do is make your light able to move up and down, lower it, and veg until the plant is about halfway from the pot to the lights highest position, then switch to flower. What I have seen in the past is it will grow up to the light and then stop directly under, or touch it and singe a tiny tiny amount, then stop growing into the light. If you can veg do it, but if you can't (If you have one plant in flower and start another. This is what happens to me) you should be fine with 12/12 from seed.

That is a diesel ass light as well. i might have to try that instead of my CFL's. If you search through my very old posts you can find a picture of my setup I posted after my first grow. Two of those plants were vegged, and one was 12/12 from seed.

I had the same delema, heres what im doin

I went with pick an mix seed,,,, got 5 autos an 5 regs, all female (no time to mess with males)

The 2 auto will be used to get quick smoke, half the regs will be started in a month to go out side .Then they will be cloned for my 3rd phase an put outside.
And ill save 2 more auto an 2 regs for later incase it all goes bad an i need some more seeds this fall for indoor

My Major concern with doing sensi star was that i seen a you tube clip where his grow outgrew his Box , your pic looks great and that is what i am aiming for small ,compact with a few flowering sites. I think i will blast it 24/0 for a few days after the seed pops through the rockwool then convert straight to 12/12 and after 2 weeks ill start to lst and train it to grow low and true. Ill keep the autoflower strain for another time as that needs the full 60 days on 18/6

Decisions Decisions , i may start a journal as there are a few pc grow journals but not that many online and the more Info the better ....

Hi Roll it Up

Have just started to Germinte the sensi star instead of the autoflowering strain , i will grow the star and Veg for a few days and bang it straight to 12/12 ,can i top the plant while in the flowering cycle?? or does this have to be done during the veg stage before i begin flowering , its a feminised seed and im weary of topping it incase the plant freaks it ....
