I built a pc grow box, it came out alright the only problem that I had was the lights,if you look at the ones on the net they use a power strip, then they use socket adapters plugged into the strip, The problem I had was the cfl's I was using, there wasn't enough space between the lights, they pushed on each other ,because they were touching each other, and they were coming unplugged, So my solution was, I went to home depot and bought 6 outlet plugs, knocked off the extra tabs, bolted them together, and then I hard wired them with 14 gauge solid copper wire, they are grounded, I took a power strip apart, pulled out the reset switch, and the three prong cord, so now my homemade power strip has the right spacing between the lights and it handles 250 volts and 15 amps no problems, you can turn them off and on plus be able to reset them for the same price it would cost, to buy a power strip, I tried 6,7,8 outlet strips none of them had the right spacing
