PC GROW - Lights OR enclosed myler for greater lumens very quick question(pic includ)

Thanks for stopping by. Basically, my PC grow box doesn't have to be stealth all the time, so instead of having it closed which only allows 4 CFL's. What If for a few hours a day, I could open up the box and shine an extra 2 or 3 CFLS to the side of the plant PLUS have a fan blowing at the plant? ..would using the 4x CFL completely enclosed be better(by utilizing the reflective mylar) or would having the box open using extra lights+fan be better? Since I understand the further the light travels, the more lumens are lost, i'm wondering if i'll be wasting a lot of lumens by having the box open View attachment 2575162but if it will be GREATLY compensated with the other lights and a fan going?
