peat moss question

So I got a bag of peatmoss and a bag of perlite and was going to mix them(maybe 50/50?)

Does anyone else use this combination? or just peatmoss that can enlighten me about it?

Will this combination be too airy for the plants?

so i added 1.5 cubic feet of peatmoss with 18 dry quarts of perlite (basically half bag of peat moss mixed with whole bag of perlite)

mixed it last nighht and it looks like a very nice light soil, i guess since no one is answering i'll let all you views know how well it worked, gunna transplant some into the soil as well as start some low ryders so a few variations for the soil to be tested

i always use round that mix mate, maybe 30% perlite.

how long will the medium stay moist?Do the plants enjoy it?

mine do. stays moist for ages when theyre young, only need to water every 5 days or so.

when they get a bit older round 2 days.

Mix 1 bag of peat moss, 1 bag of perlite and 2 bags of organic soil.

quite pleased with peatmoss/perlite combo, the plants stay nice and moist for 2 days
