This is great, I'm about to start an Dinafem Industrial (Attitude gave it to me as a freebie) it's a fem seed so I figure I won't waste my time messing with regulars. I'm a little nervous because I don't want the dinafem to outgrow the box.
Hey bro first off thanks for stopping by!! Secondly I am sure you can pull it off. Just make sure you always are tying her down every chance you get. To my understanding a plant knows that it is in a confined area. I gave one of my good friend a Papaya seed out of the same batch that mine came out of. He has his growing in a tent it is about 45 inch tall and is identical to mine but on a much bigger scale. His leave are a bit bigger than my hand but are identical to mine. Now if you look at my plant the leaves are only about the of a small grinder of something. I think this is the plant knowing it is in a small enviroment. I mean my girl even went through stretching and all when I switched her to flower but she never tried to out grow the case. Any ways give a try and let me know when you start up the thread for it. STAY HIGH BRO REP+!!!!!!

Get ready guys going to be putting a clone of Black Jack from Nirvana in my main cabinet. This cab has been down and out of working order for about a month now. Did some work to it today and I think she is about ready. I am going to do a 1 plant scrog in this box. For veg I am going to be using 312w of daylight CFLS and for flower I am going to throw in my 150w HPS and I might add some soft white CFLS just for some extra wattage. For exhaust I am using a 6inch wall mount fan that works great. And for intakes I am using 2 4inch Radio Shack wall mount fans ran by a 1amp DC to AC adapter. I am going to use 2 of the small red fans you see just for circulation that are going to be blowing on the girl at all times. The box always stays right above room temp. Tell me what you guys think. And be ready for when the forum starts up so you can jump in for the fun ride!!! STAY HIGH!!!:leaf::leaf:View attachment 1672173View attachment 1672174View attachment 1672175View attachment 1672176

Sounds good, Penyajo...it'll be nice to see that HPS up and running this time around.

What do you do for odor control with this cab?

Hey bud!! Thanks for stopping by!! It will be nice to have that hps in there the whole time this time around. It will also be great if I am able to finish this next girl completly. You should have seen the premature smoke that I got off the black jack. It was awful. lol. As for the odor control on this box. I have never had a problem with it smelling real stinky yet. But the girl I had in there were only about 5 weeks into flower and they really werent smelling up yet. and I was in my apartment and I really didnt give a fuck all of my neibors smokked so I was in the clear. But now that I am living back with mom and shit I am going to have to make one up here pretty soon. I did make a sketch on paint a few days ago to show you how I want to set it up! What I want to do is make a small compartment in the top of my box. That way I can put my carbon filter on the inside of my box with out any one seeing it. I am going too upgrade to an inline fan. In the picture it shows it fan inside the small compartment. But after I made this picture I realized if I have the fan in the compartment rather than in the actually box everyone will be able to hear it. So just picture the inline fan inside the box rather than in the small compartment on top. Tell me what you think of this!!!

That sounds good, penyajo. I'm considering doing a similar setup with my wardrobe box (except mounting a separate box on top of the cab - instead of having a separate compartment in the cab itself, since it's only four feet high - and putting the carbon scrubber and fan in this separate box on top).

Don't know if you have your inline fan picked out already, but I have a S&P td-100 4" inline fan that's pretty quiet and still pushes the air really well - even with a carbon scrubber attached. Not sure if it's quieter than other available fans (since I've only ever used this one), but I did a fair amount of online research about noise levels with various inline fans before choosing it. The S&P's are also not too expensive...I got mine (the td-100x) for about eighty bucks at this site: http://www.hvacquick.com/products/residential/Bathroom-Ventilation/Remote-Fans-for-Bath/SP-TD-Series-Inline-Fans

Hey man great information thank you much for sharing. No I dont have a inline nor have I picked one out or even looked. I was probably going to just ride up to my hydro shop. But if I did that they would tax the hell out of me I would prlly end up paying over 120 bux for a 4in. Any ways do you run your box in a room that you have people in that dont know what the box hold. I would be running mine right beside a window shaker AC unit or next to a tall isolating fan that is pretty loud do you think they will cover the noise up of the fan completley. Thanks again for the info my friend!!

The Ac unit will def cover the noise of an td-100x...a tall oscillating fan, I'm not sure, it may sound similar (depending on how loud your oscillating fan is). I've never run mine in an occupied part of the house...most often I've had it installed in the attic (right above my grow closet), and I used it once in a garage - so I can't say whether visitors will notice if it's running without anything else going in the room at the same time. If you have it installed INSIDE your cab (as in your diagram), I would think the noise would be hardly noticeable...especially if you have another fan running in the room (or, better yet, a window AC unit).

Also, I usually run mine with a variac fan speed controller, and I didn't need to run it on full speed very often when I used it with my small cab. When I grew in the full-sized closet, I had it at max speed during flowering in the summer months. I had central AC in the house, so it didn't really get that warm in the house anyways...but the volume of the closet was almost three times that of my small cab, so it just wasn't that easy to exchange the air in the closet as fast as I wanted to unless it was at max speed. Since the fan was mounted in the attic, I certainly never heard it over the house central AC. In fact, it was barely audible even when the AC (or furnace) wasn't running.

very nicely done. I like the LST, definitely a fan of the technique. A must for small CFL grows. I've done it for all 3 of my plants. I'll be checking in on this thread, hope you get a good harvest.

Thanks bro that is deff the fan I am going to be purchasing. I mean my 6in wall mount is really loud. I always had a decent sized isolating desk fan that was always running on top of the cab. No body ever asked a thing. I even had the cable guy over installing that shit and he never even glanced in that direction. But that was in my place. Now that I am in moms house I cant have much noise at all. Thanks again for the info and I am goign to be putting a carbon scrubber on it too so that will cover up most of it right there!! STAY HIGH BRO!!

Thanks for stopping by and checking her out. It is looking like I will get a decent harvest off of her. I mean even if it is only a half ounce that is not a loss. This is looking to be some good shit. As for the LST. I put alot of effort in that. The lower branching was very good for this strain and up toward the top it started to thin out a bit. So the tallest colas you see are actually the lowest branches on the girl. Any ways thanks again for stopping by. STAY HIGH!! REP+

I want to fuck the shit out of your plant, so fucking nice. What exactly do you call what you did? LSD?, how you slowly lowered the stem until it was aimed all the way to the right to keep size nice and big but the height smaller? I haven't looked into techniques yet...

Hey man if u are looking at a 25" tall one that is deff going to big enough. The one I use is only 8 in tall so you will have 7 more inches in height that I do. As for watering this girl. I have her in a. Tupperware that is about 12 in long 6 in across and about 4 inch deep filled with FFOF. I have to water her every day for sure. If I only water at the trunk she will be starving by the morning. So I saturate the whole thing and it keeps all the soil nice and moist till I get back. Thanks for stopping by!!!!!

Ahhh your a pedophile she is only three months old!!! hahahah! Any ways the training method that I used in this grow is called LST( Low stress training). This method is used to give all of the lower branches on the plant better lighting. As you can see all of the tops that are getting close to lights are all bottom nodes of the plant. The shortest buds you see are all towards the top of the plant. So all of my bottom buds got as much light at the top but they were never tied down so they got the tallest. What happens when you do this is the plant realizes that its top is no longer the top of that plant making the plant shoot off better branching. Taking away most of your popcorn buds and turning them into nice top colas. If you are doing a small CFL grow than it is almost a must. Thanks for stopping by bro!!! STAY HIGH!!!

yeah thanks for the info man i'm sub'd and man is that plant looking delicious, good things to come
Yeah man hopefully nice good buds are coming my way. This girl has really been taking her time since the beginning. I think it is because of the low wattage to her. Any ways since I had to move back in with my mom I have only been giving her straight up un PH balanced water. She seems to be loving it. When only the very tip of the buds have white pistols and 50% of the trichs have gone amber I am going to put her into a three day darkness with no light at all. This makes the plant think it is dying and shoots out every last bit of THC she has in her. Hope fully this will be coming soon but I have to just wait it out. Thanks for stopping by. STAY HIGH!!! yeah i was planning on doing an organic grow, i have a buddy in cali that works for a hydro shop that should be bringing me some nutes. i figure because i'm only gonna be able to do cfl's (not mh/hps) then i won't skimp out on growing material/nutes. however i am a nube so we'll see what happens. what are soil are you using? but i wouldn't go as far as blaming the cfl's tho, have you thought about positioning them any other way than just them being at the top? maybe one on each side as well? i've thought about doing a pulley system on it, even tho it's not that big of case it can't hurt. i'll def hit you up when i have it up in running

Hey bro. The case I have was purchased by a friend of mine and then given to me. The way the guy made it the light are unadjustable. I have Always wanted to use them on a pulley system. When I grow with CFLS I always keep them at about 2 in away from foliage. But with this I cant they always sit at the top and I cant adjust them. Let me know if you make a pulley system so you can show me how. As for nutes the only thing I can say is when she is ready for them be very very greedy with the nutes they dont like them that much when they are young very easy to injure seedlings. STAY HIGH!!

Hey guys just got a quick ? for you. I was wondering if any one could point me in the right direction for buying a decently price digital microscope for checking my trichs. Any ways I want this camera to do the job and I am really not looking to be spending much over $50.00. I understand I am not going to get something that goes above and beyond. But if some one could point me in the right direction to look for one that would be great!!!
