people with experience using fluorescent tube bulbs only

i am currently in the mix of a grow using only fluorescent tube bulbs.... they are 2x 60w cool white and another 2x 48w warm white for flowering.

i am growing two strains of auto flowering plants that only have an 8-10 week period to harvest from sprout.

all input on this topic would be awesome help and im sure helpful to others........i am currently 4days into sprouting and have just moved the 2 cool white fluorescents down to 2 inch's from the top of the sprouts...

is everything cool so to speek???????????????????

Yes, that should be sufficient lighting.

my plants are all set up on timers for lighting 18-6 at the moment and watered with a hydroponic system 3 times during the light hours. if this is a sufficient lighting set up for these plants is there anything else i can do with this set up to produce the best crop?

my timer will only allow me 15mins as the shortest run time, IS IT STILL OK TO WATER THEM 3 TIMES DURING LIGHTING EVEN IF EACH OF THE 3 PERIODS IS 15MINS?????????????

Yes, it's dependent on your nutrients. If you have a high ppm, then I wouldn't water more than 3 times a day. You can lst them. heres a link.

awesome,, i'll check it out. for my previous grows in soil i used a standard tomato fertilizer that contained good levels of the primary nutrients and some secondary nutrients. for this grow im currently using the same... i have stuck with the choice because it provided good plants in soil and when looking for otherwise most forums said that specialist cannabis fertilizers are practically the same with a fancy label. IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD BE DOING WITH MY FERTILIZERS/WATERING OR IS THERE SOME EXTRA FERTILIZERS I COULD USE???????????????????? #

I'm not clear on what system you are using or how many plants or the size of the grow area. or what kind of flouro tubes they are. I will say don't count on the short grow cycle you see claimed for autos. Unless everything is perfect they will take longer.

THE BULBS ARE 2X 60w cool white 3ftx1'' 4500 lumens per fluorescent tube..... and 2x 48w warm white 3frx1'' 3500 lumens per fluorescent tube,,,

as they are only little sprouts they are only under the 2 60w cool white lights for veg state which seems to typically be 3-4 weeks in every review i've read on the strains. then i plan on putting the other 2 warm whites on around this time when i can see they are at their time. my hydroponics system is an older ready made one previously used for tomatoes. everything is on timers. the area i grow in is 4ft x 2ft and 6fr high... the plants i am growing average 50cm - 60cm in size.....

CAN I CROP THESES MALLER PLANTS MUCH???
WHEN CAN I TAKE CLIPPINGS FROM AN AUTO FLOWERING PLANT???

Well, I'm not sure what kind of fertilizer you are using, but you should probably invest in some hydroponic nutrients.. I use General Hydroponics, with great success. Here:

I use the florabloom, and Micro hardwater. You combine the two, and I found the "Lucas Formula" which goes with them.

You might have enough light for veg, I don't know what those bulbs are, probably T8s. As they get larger I would add the other 2 even in veg. In flower you could benefit from more but with the space you will be filled up overhead. But it's sidelight you will need anyway. Plan now for how you will raise the flouros as they grow, and how you will add sidelight cfls later eg with clamp reflectors.

I also think you should invest in a good hydro nute product and follow its feeding schedule.

sorry they are t8's, didnt realise i left that out. i already have nutrients down on my list for tomorrow, floorabloom? is what i have been recomended,,,

do u have any suggestions for a simple, well working recipe of nutrients i could get started on...???
