Ok so just to get everyone up to speed...

I am on my 2nd grow, (1st was 1 plant start to finish/just for expirmentation)

I am on my 2nd grow, 4 seeds and currently nuturing 17 plants... due to cloning of course (4seeds = 4 strains)

5 plants flowering (2 bubba kush, 1 white siberian, 1 ak47, and 1 master kush) and 12 veggin' ( currently ).

Soil:
I've just used MG perlite, Fox Farms OPM (Original Planting Mix), Fox Farms Ocean Forest (indoor potting soil), and Happy Frog organic ( Indoor & outdoor mix) for various plants.

Nutrients:
Superthrive, Fox Farms Big Bloom, Fox Farms Grow Big... also when needed, Hydrogen Peroxide, and Epsom Salt.
Anyway the point of this thread is this... Perfect PH!

So everyone knows (or should know) all nutrients provided to plants are best received at a PH of 6.3 to 6.7 give or take, depending who you ask...

I've been buying distilled (ph 6.5) water since the start...

Now with more plants and more water needed, it gets expensive, I was/am near 8$-10$ a week in gallons of distilled water.

I decided to look into a way to purify water so I don't have to buy it anymore...

Solution: PUR water pitcher w/filter... It takes my hard tap water ph'ed at 7.4 and brings it to a solid and usable 6.3... only $6 for a filter every two months. Much better than the near $80 I was spending....

Hope this helps somebody out there!..

...Happy Grown... :bigjoint:bongsmilie:eyesmoke:

So if it purifies the water to 6.3, what does it drop to when you add the nutes?
Good question... I literally found this out hours ago, now that I have gallons of purified/ph'd water I'll add my grow big and big bloom to it and re test it and post results shortly...

I will agree that if you use ffof/ roots organic + dolomite w/ all bottled purified water. You wont have many if any ph issues. ^_^ I grew 1 round without a meter.

So I checked it from a gal. of water with 3 Tbls Big Bloom and 1 Tbls Grow Big, it read ph 6.0... this is my current tea for my ladies 2 weeks into flower. What do you guys think?

EDIT: flower not veg.

ph up... i use regular tap water and let it sit out for 24 hours. add all of my fox farm nutes and my ph comes to 6.3 - 6.4 every time. no need for the pur filter if u ask me. however i will be looking at a reverse osmosis filter in the near future.

that pur filter is gonna need replacing alot sooner than if you were drinking all that water, and those filters aren't cheap from what i remember, reverse osmosis is the way to go

Try adding some Tiger Bloom, it will shoot your pH into the 5.0's, maybe even high 4.0's.

when you grow organically you dont need to worry about ph.
Tell that to your plants. Personally I don't want to pour acid on them. I may be steping my crank here because I'm still trying to get the learning curve down on how forgiving the soil is. I'm using RO soil and the runoff came out alot lower than the water that I'm using, but it's not effecting my growth. When I added nutes to water to see the reaction the water turned frigging red.
