perforated ducting, possible heat issues, anyone experienced this?

Hello everyone,

thanks for dropping in to read/ comment. so i am experiencing some high temperatures in my tent, due to several factors. 1. im in a 2nd story apt 2. the apt windows and doors and sliding glass door are not sealed very well so leaving a/c on constantly isnt going to work, so i leave windows open constantly 3. my apt windows do not face west, so i dont get the nice breeze as easily as i would otherwise. i left to go have dinner tonight and came back and my tent temp was 105, i know, not close to ideal. it was 82 around 6pm. i got home around 10 and found the high temps.

4x4 tent 7ft tall
600 watt hps cool tube
240 cubic ft fan

and perforated ducting,

now i will say that when i initially hooked my fan up it was pulling very hard, now it doesnt seem to move as much air or i should say pull hard.

fan is about a foot away from the ducting exit, and it pulls air from the hps and carbon filter.

anyone experienced wear and tear on ducting to cause higher temps. yes it is summer in southern cal, so thats part of it.

its a cheaper 4x4 tent but yes its sealed, one passive intake and the rest of the holes sealed up. and yes that portable air conditioner is a viable option. i actually hadnt seen anything less than $250-300. my tent temp this morning is 77. i am also adjusting my timer over the next couple days so i can utilize more of the morning cool. thanks very much. the only reason an ac unit isnt going to work is vibration, im on the 2nd floor of an apartment, so if my downstairs neighbors dont beat the walls open, this should be sufficient. :)
