Perhaps here, low yield, lotsa bugs <PICS>

Posted in another area, perhaps this is more appropriate.

This is a 2 month old Americana; growing in the hot SoCal sunshine seems to have stunted it a bit, plant is about 2.5 feet.

After a week away, I came back to my once healthy plant bitten and chewed to pieces. This is the second and last plant I am going to grow outdoors.

The fan leaves are deteriorating rapidly.

The buds are small and covered in caterpillar poop, so at best I am thinking I can try to make some (SMALL) hash with it.

Is it the hot summer inducing flowering and stunting growth?

Hot sunshine does not stunt growth. Flowering is triggered by equal day/night length. By stunted growth do you mean continued growth upwards? i cant see 'rapid deterioration' of any leaves, but can see some issues in pic.1. Sort out the caterpillar issue and make sure you give it some nutes if you are not already and thing should be fine.

Yeah you might just make it man.

This is another reason I grow indoors, less bugs to fuck my life up.

Since I saw the bugs, I sprayed with Pyrethrum based 3in1 a couple of days ago. Here's another angle from about a week ago. I clipped the yellow leaves at the stem and others that were more than 50% gone. When I went out this morning, I clipped a few more.

The buds are pretty sparse and small. I keep seeing these photos of plants with dense enormous looking buds together.

Well these other plants with dense buds and all were grown properly with good lighting.
You gotta grow with your plants, it's tough starting out, but we all started somewhere.
Im still a big ol noob barely got 1 grow under my belt with 5 more on the way.
It's always a learning experience, you can't expect excellent results without some work and money.:leaf:

Money is not a problem. This is my second weak plant harvest harvest since June. With the climate, I have to be able to do this outdoors, but I have plenty of room to try it in as well. It's also nice to do it knowing its legal (with appropriate documentation) here.

I know, but without good genes you can give it the best and only get mediocre results...that was my point.
