perpetual growing

Generally the size of your grow space determines what would be an ideal plant size for that space. In a 5x5x6 tent you will only have about 4 feet of usable vertical space because of lights. Possibly less since you don't want you glass sitting right on your plants. Now plants that are vegged for 3 months could very likely outgrow that space with out careful control of their height.

I would say that typically perpetual grows are done with larger numbers of smaller plants. You don't spend time vegging plants for 3 months, you veg them for 2 weeks, and get them flowering. Yes the plants are smaller so they don't yield as much per plant, but if you have 2-4 smaller plants instead of 1 huge one you are able to yield about the same.

I've been running my garden like this for 6 years now. I take clones about every 2 weeks when they are rooted they go into pots, and veg for about 2 weeks until they are roughly 8 inchs tall and growing vigorously. At this point I've already cut my next batch of clones as well. Once the potted clones have vegged, they go straight into flower for 9-10 weeks depending on strain. Then every 1-2 weeks I have anywhere from 8-12 plants to harvest. I average about 20g per plant, and can fit around 45 plants under my single 1k light at a time.

Though there are many ways to make a grow perpetual, I feel the way I run mine is a good example of a typical cycle. Its done to increase the number of harvests per year, and to decrease the amount of time spent vegging the plants instead of flowering them.
That is the thing to properly do a perpetual grow your going to need numbers of plants size of plants are up to you to get it all in sink,
When i did perps again to make it worth while i vegged plants 4 -5 weeks under big power 2 veg rooms to flower rooms ,, this allowed plants to be fair size going into and also allow at beginning of perp every 3 weeks plants going in so when harvest time came for first batch i had every thing in sequence for harvesting every 3 weeks ( 5 - 6 pounds )
No need to keep mothers just going to need lots of clones

Again this is pretty hard work i mean having like 800 - 1000 clones 200 - 300 plants in veg different stages and same amount in flower haha i did it for like 6 months its fucking full time and your always doing something haha
let alone getting caught with them numbers . TBH was getting burnt out Big time .
Growing small plants the numbers don't come up

So to the op i mean really pending on your Exp dont jump into everything you do not even have tents i suggest getting 5 x 10 tent for flower room and same for veg clones can be in a closet
So 5 x 10 you need to keep putting plants in to flower tent right like 3 - 4 weeks so by the time first harvest comes
lets say 8 plants your going to have 24 plants in there pull out 8 and throw in another 8
Veg tent your going to need lets say 100 plants in all stages
clones again you need lots right takes what lets be safe 3 weeks plus to just root so how many ???? i would shoot for min 250 clones

I'm not wanting that many plants. I think the 12 plants is alot. Hight is not a problumn. I keep all my plants at about 3 1/2 ft. But I could do a 1 month veg and have 2 plants at a ti.e in veg and 6 in flower?

As I said in my post there are lots of ways to make a grow perpetual. In order to do so you just ALWAYS have to have plants at each stage of the cycle. I think your last post about using a one month veg would serve your purpose better then 3 months. If you want to harvest 1-2 plants each month and each plant flowers for 3 months, you will need room for at least 6 flowering and prolly 6 vegging plus clones and moms. I always try to take more clones then I need, and will usually even veg out a couple extra plants just incase any of them in the batch don't grow as well as the rest. All so that hopefully my cycle doesn't get messed up. So anyway it seems like your headed down the right path.
