do you think maybe too small of a res size is the problem. too many roots to water volume plus amount or air being pumped in

i have noticed with my grow. the more my roots fill my res the less stable my ph is and i see bigger changes to my ph

I really couldn't answer that tbh. It is a 60 litre barrel though. And ph generally was quite stable in it. Increasing slightly over several days.
PH today is 6.2
PPM is 511
Water level has dropped approx 8 litres.
So I'm assuming she's back to eating.
A couple drops of acid to bring ph down is all im doing and will check again tomorrow

If it's dropped again like that tomorrow that's gotta be a cure..
If only I did that sooner.. instead of just reducing EC all the time.

How much cal/mag are you adding to your RO water?

You should take your RO water and buffer it to 200ppm with calmag and use that as a starting point adding you nutrients after and then PH to desired level.

You should find your water keeps a more stable PH that way.
So y add the cal/mag before everything else wont that mess up the sillica?

Yeah, what your water level did in that time in relation to your readings is the key to understanding what you are seeing.

Water levels dropped.. but not as quick as usual. Ph remains stable.. ppm back to 580....
It will need a top up. But can't get RO till tomoz.
When I'll test again...
