Ph adjusting

Growing in a soil medium. The water where I live has a ph of 7.3-8. I want to lower the ph and I bought aquarium ph adjuster. I heard vinegar or lime juice works but that it will not KEEP the ph low. Will this aquarium ph down do the trick?

Hi there, i should imagine it would? ive heard of other people use aquarium stuff to do with water.
dose it say on the bottle for lowering ph or highering ph. i use ph up and ph down myself, but if thats all you have to hand then its scrach your head time. i my self should think its ok to lower your ph but to what point i dont know? hopfully it wont lower it too far but 6.5-7 ph is just right for soil.
Hope this is of some help to you, later man

Yeah I am confident that it'll be safe. I'm mostly just curious if it would be more effective than lemon juice? Because I would prefer to use that, it just seems more natural

Using the aquarium stuff will not fix it permanently you need to use dolomite lime or if your going to use the soil now use peat moss, ProMix Sunshine or coco. You can add worm castings and that will do more for your pH and soil health than any other thing you can do. Any thing around 6.5 to 7.2 is great for soil and all the mico and main nutrients are available in max amounts.
