Hi everyone, i just recently purchased some fem white rhino ( greenhouse seeds) from a head shop in the town i live in. They came in the original pack, but this time the seeds had a red coating on them and when i ask what the heck that was all about, dude said it's on the seeds to help adjust the ph as most people use tap water to germinate them. It's been some time now..like two weeks and only two of the five have popped. Any info would be great..thanks

no i dont believe thats what its for.......i read in a high times mag a few months ago that a high profile grower (cant remember the company, was home based out of Amsterdam) who coated his seed to help determine what strand those seed are.....ex...white color seeds=white widow seed red seeds= white rhino so on and so forth......but i highly dought its has anything to do with your PH

did a lil googleing....&

i stand corrected...... germination test of colored seeds that contain an anti-pathogene and a root stimulator. that was copy and pasted from the source of the colored seeds

actually, lol....appon reading the link more...i am also correct....they are for identifying diff strains also..........

2 weeks and still not popped isn't good. All my seeds pop in 3 days to 5 days even the kush beans. Keep it moist and warm. I put my seeds in a coffee filter then soak it then into a ziplock bag placed onto of my reciever.

Thanks for the link, it's very interesting for sure, at the end of it all, still after two weeks i only have 2 out of 5 that popped. Very stange, this is not my first time growing and have bought seeds many times before with great results, 3 to 5 days is the norm but hey..i'm going back to the store.
