What nutes are you using? Most nutes are PH stable, so you night want to look into that. I sear that when I set the PH it never changes.

i feel like this happened to me when i had root rot. look at everything, assess your possible problems, and make gradual changes. I haven't done a lot of homework on the specific subject of the different types of nitrogen and other nutrients. Some are ammonia based some are nitrate based and some nutrients aren't suitable for hydro because it doesn't use it the same as in hydro. This is why you see hydro and soil line nutes, because hydro nutes are specifically targeted to break down correctly and avoid problems that normally happen with the other nutrient line

Ok ph has only been falling slighty in a 24 hour period, from like 5.9 (before I go to bed) and when lights come on its down to the 5.5 range which is 15 hours later (so maybe plant wanted more nutes like prev stated). I've been using 3% peroxide almost everyday so maybe that has helped... My question is if it I do have bacteria in my rez wouldn't the ph be dropping to the 4.0 range or lower all the time ?? Also if I have bacteria, and you keep ph in the 5.5-6.0 range is that ok ??? My plant seems to be growing or budding everyday... Now on day 24 of flower, when will the plant stop growing vertically?, I only have about about another 6 inches left in vert space.... Also noticed plant (vanilla kush) is drinking about 2.5 gallons of water in 6 days using a 175 hps, is that a lot of water in that period ??

Res Temp was 67-71 when ph drops occurred... Bump above questions

I have had the same problems with my set-up. Every morning when i check my ph it is always about 4.0 and i cant seem to get it to stay at my desired 5.7- The only thing i can think of doing is switching to the Advanced Nutes PH Perfect Line and hope for the best. I have found that PH level might be the most important thing to monitor daily when it comes to a hydro set-up, especially mine seeing how i have a drip system running 24/7. Anybody have any other soultions?

Superstoner post #8 on this thread I have a couple questions, can u answer them please and thank you ......... Also I got that great white root stuff and it was expensive... Is that something I should just use it I have potential bacteria problems ???? Im gonna start putting 3% peroxide in my rez everyday and so far it has helped even though I think u were right on the plant wanting more nutes.

Keeping the pH in range will definitely benefit the plant with rot or not. The great white is expensive i used it for a while then switched to pondzyme. Yes it will need to be used consistently and never use it with h2o2, it will kill the gw.

I don't think I ever had root rot... More of a underfeeding small problem I think cause ph dropped significantly to 4.5 but ph it up and its ok that was like 4 days ago.... Also I don't know how I would have gotten root rot when rez temp was never above 71 deg at the time it possible occurred.... The one time for sure I got the rot was first grow ever and I woke up to a rez temp of 78.... Just gonna stick with the 3% peroxide everyday in small amounts and mix rez... Will probally use the great white for soil outside cause it has a 3 year shelve life cause for hydro I would only get like one grow out of it.

I had ph drops with pristine healthy white roots exactly like this... turned out to be underfeeding; my biggest plant started showing mag deficiency. I increased the ppm from like 450 to 800 and added cal/mag and the ph drop went away.

You can bubble your great white in a bucket of r/o water for 48 hours, then save the tea in the fridge for 10-14 days. It will last a lot longer that way.

Yup pretty sure it is as superstoner1 previously stated... Had no clue this could happen
