Ph Down Made Mine Worse.

I got a good quality Ph meter a while back, the 100$ variety, and had the hydro shop check ad calibrate it. It was also checked against 3 other units, not all of the same brand. I checked the water, corrected the ph, then watered. When I fertilized, I got it screwed up at first, but people here helped out so much, thank you. Once I got that right, I would fertilize with a mix that read 6.5 or thereabouts. The runoff was also about 6.5 or so. The plants were all sorts of fucked up as a result. A buddy of mine told me that my plants were doing great until I started using that stuff, so without anything to loose really, I just started watering them with the fish tank water thats testing at 8.3, and the plants are doing a whole lot better. When UI water next, I'll check the runoff.

Ok, it was 6.78 runoff, and today the source was 8.49

I just use tap water I let set out over night to evaperate the chlorine and it works fine, I never check my PH anymore since the plants love what they're getting, and I just add my nutes and they grow for me...
My flower room.jpgJust plain tap water in MG soil..
Although...
My veg room w-perpetual grow.jpg I've recently used subcools super soil, and those are the big ones...they're the same age (8 weeks) as the smaller ones on either side of them...I'm going with super soil from now on, it's more expensive, but the results are worth it :weed:
