I an currently in hydro system with no soil, my plants are in coco and the ph is at 5.8 but some people are saying this is too low? my plants are drinking because my water levels say so and the ph rises up to 6.2 everyday.
With this being said i am having considerable trouble with my younger plants recently is the ph to blame?

I kno the ph changes from soil and hydro growers and was woundering if my ph is in the right range?
cheers ;)

tis true sir.. up to 6.5 is still ok but at 6.2 you should just let it be .. the girls dont like a lot of change so just let it go as long as it dont go more then 6.4 or 6.5..

i was told with coco, to A. water every day. and to B. have yer ph between 5.8-6.1. i heard you can go outside this range and yer plants wont suffer, but, i believe all situations, gardens, and strains are different, so there is many variables in play. i have been water my 3gal bags once a day with 32oz of water/feed. the issues i have, and not to hi-jack yer thread, but i want to know about plain water, watering. like if im not using nutes, should i ph my plain r/o water?? thanks in advance. im subbing this thread so i can gain some info.

also, im using the Sunshine Mix Advanced #4. thxs!

haha in a way you did just hi-jack my thread lol  yea you should ph your water as the ph is used to stimulate the roots to allow it to bring up water and nutes, so even if theres no nutes you still need to ph so your plants stand a better chance of taking in the water. :)

sorry for the intrusion, lol! well. im still confused. what you say makes sense. however. i have these plants, 2nd grow started, i never used any nutes on my last grow, until the 3rd, maybe 4th week. i didn't have a ph meter either. so i was watering and feeding blindly. i never really got any nute burn. some def yes, but no burn. so on this 2nd grow i started nuting a little early, and BAM!! major burn! so i backed off on the nuting. i started to ph the plain water and the burn still continued. so im a little confused on why. i am also using Sunshine Mix Advanced #4, it has enough stuff in it to get you the first 3 weeks without the need to feed. either i overdosed them with nutes, the ph'ing burned them. or the soil has enough nutes in it to get them through the first few weeks, i dunno. but something fucked them up. they are slowly recovering. i use Botanicare, and on the bottles it says to use in cloning/seedling stage. maybe i just need to adjust the dose a little weaker or something. i just hate seeing my babies in discomfort....
