Ph meter for hydro

will this do the job for now till i can get a digital pen type one

I have one of those, and it is grossly inaccurate. I later bought a Milwaukee ph51 pen, and it is 1000 times better. I think you should scrap that and go with a pen. You don't want to be guessing with something as vital as pH.

I have that same one and it sucks. My real meter arrived yesterday and I compared the two with some tap water. If I remember right, the digital said 8.4, analog said 7.5 roughly. I would go straight for a decent one.

like which ones? I would make sure the one you gets works, why skimp on it, it's a one time investment and pH is super important. Just go through the grow journals and look at the ones that the person didn't get a pH metter and you'll see what I mean...not going to name any names but some people seem to think they can skimp or just not use a meter and 9 times out of 10 they aren't too successful.

yeah i agree i def think i need a ph meter but with this being my first grow, would a cheaper one be ok, u know and buy a better one later, just dont have 80-100 to spend on a decent oakton or hanna right now
