I have a HM Ph-200. I recently bought a new probe because my old one was acting up. So I put the new probe on soaked it in 7.01 for 2 hours. Then calibrated it to 4.01, I then went to calibrate it to my 7.01 and it was way off. I let it sit and it did not change, so i manually changed it. Now going back to 4.01 it reads 5.63. I could deal with it if it was .2 or .3 or even maybe .4 off, but it is off by 1.6! So my question is, is my meter any good? If it is should i use it calibrated to 7.0 or 4.0. I grow in soilless medium. and usually keep my ph around 6.3 depending which part of flower i am in.
