Check your manufacter's recommendations. Alot say to store in 4.0 solution

How should I store my pH probe..?
You should use MA9016 cleaning solution for cleaning your probe, and MA9015 for storage of the probe when not in use.

If you do not have electrode storage solution use pH 4 buffer solution.
BlueLab
Place the Bluelab pH Probe storage cap filled with fresh water or Bluelab pH Probe Storage Solution
back over the tip of the Bluelab pH Probe when not in use. This stops the Bluelab pH Probe from drying
out.

Thankyou! I just got a blue kab and am having problems already unfortunately. Going to call company tomorrow see if im doing everything right.

BLUELAB pH pen should be stored in either KCI solution or plain tap water.
The literature that generally accompanies the pen says KCI, Tap or buffer4 but having contacted BLUELAB when I purchased mine they have since retracted the buffer4 info.
After 5months of use and correct storage/calibration my BLUELAB pen crapped out. It got sent back to manufacturer where they cleaned it and re calibrated it and its working fine again now and holding a steady reading.
When it crapped out I had an "ER" message appear on screen.
