they carry them sometimes too in there gardening section. garden centers in general carry those cheap versions of a pH test, normally come as a multi-meter tool. more sophisticated pH meter you can get in pet shops and aquaristic shops.

I went to pet store tonite and all they had was ph test kits that only go down to 6.2 or so. But i did find some ph down and up safe for plants to do with aqariums, also found algae be gone safe for plants also saying it had trace elements with iron, calcium, and so on. Does anybody think this shit would be good for my hydro grow?

i would not introduce algae to my hydro, the plug everything up and kill the pumps!!! rather go with a mineral pellet, ones of those that dissolves if you put it in a water glass;)

pH meters and ppm meters go at hydro stores for 50bucks each, there are cheaper ones at pet store/aquarium stores. really simple pH tester you can get also at garden centers for like 5-10bucks. also ebay is a source to check... just go some place and look what they have to offer!

just a example:High Tech Garden Supply
