Ph problems - nft gro tank

HEY I HAVE A PROBLEM, EVERYTIME I MEASURE MY PH I MEASURE IT I ADD PH UP/DOWN AND THEN MEASURE AGAIN AND IT IS AT THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE OF THE TABLE.

I USE THE CHART WITH THE DROPS, IM PLANNING ON GETTING A PH METER BUT NOT FOR A FEW WEEKS

nft gro tank 50 litres (35 litres in there)

it was reading the ph at 8< then i added 5ml of ph down and it was reading at 4>, wth is this all about? im really confused :(

You should be more careful, add 1ml at a time and get a pH meter ASAP

1ml will slowly bring the pH down, adding small amounts will gradually let you know how much to add, it sounds like 2ml will take you to nearly 6 ....

A well calibrated pH pen will be more reliable than reagent testing ....... my Horticare is in it's 3rd year of daily use

If there's nutes in the rez and your pH is varying that much you need to make sure none of the micro nutrients are dropping out of the solution
