pH problems..............to low...

high, i have a problem with my soil pH, firts time happening.............do not know why it happened....................currently using bio bizz all mix soil which i always use only new thing im using are BIO CANNA nutes...

I'm planting all female seeds and i have tangerine dream and don;t want to see them go to waste..........plants are still in small pots so i was wondering if i changed them to bigger pots with new soil would help go back to neutral pH.

the water that i use to water them has a neutral pH..............

I REALLY NEED SOME HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..............

i dont know much but if there rooting well u can move them i only had mine for 7 days and the roots wer coming out the bottom on some so i moved them to my 4 gallons that i custom built u can use ph up and ph down, its very potent so i use like i ml of ph down per gallon

there is no pH up or down here on the island, the store just ordered them for the first time and it'll take about 6 weeks to arrrive........i think ima just go n buy some soil and repot to 5 gallon pots which i usually use n see what'll happen.................

try getting some dolomite lime and mix in with the new pots soil.. if you cant find that you can use ground up sea shells that will work as well!!

ok ok.......there is no dolomite lime either...............i've read searched alot about raising pH and on the websites i've read they also say to use bone meal, now that i could find but dont know if i shoud buy it or not...

yes and hard wood ashes works as well i beleive and egg shells could use some more experienced growers advice on that though!!

@ greenewfie, by ground up seashels u mean just go to the beach and pick up all the shells i can get along the beach??
yes you may have to boil them for a couple minutes just in case they may be contaminated but yeah most shells are made up of mostly calcium carbonate not sure about mussel shells but like oyster shells clam shells and those are good forsure!

ok ok..........and lets say i go n pick sea shells, how long will it take before ht pH starts rasing???..................i'm about 200 meters from the beach......thank god for that..lol

one other thing about the shells greenewfie, after i boil them, do i just put them on top of the soil or do i have to crush them and mix them w the soil or what??......thanks for ur help bra..

hey man, you must grind them up to powder if you want the shells to raise the soil ph put them on top spread out evenly and water it into the soil or if your transplanting mix it in before you transplant

i have heard that too but read on forums that its not good for the soil maybe salts or something cant really remember but not really recommended!!

oh gosh......................i just read ur thread and but how the hell do i grind the shells to dust???.......thow them in a blender??.....lol..

haha well i would put them in a zip lock baggy put a towel over them smash them up really well with a hammer or rock, and probably a blender or just smash it and crush it up as much as you can to powder

dude.........thats gonna take alot of smashin.............i have 12 plants...............i think i'll try the baking soda and just go easy on it........if it doesn't go well, oh well............out they go................. :-(

i didnt get a chance to take pics today, i just went and checked though if the soil was dry to water with the baking soda but it's still wet...........i'll post some pics tomorrow for you to see, i have one of them that i accidently broke the top that is growing pretty nice for having a pH problem.....

yeah that weird my ph is still low to my runoff today was below 6 and shes still growin like mad, i added a little bit more lime, molasses, ferts full strength for the first time today, phd the water to 6.7ish, acid soil lol thats why my leaves are all blotchy with the rusty looking spots!!

just try the baking soda on half of them and try a comparison or or something!!
