ohhh ok ok........now ima kinda gettin it....................so tomorrw i have to go get ph testing kit at petshop plus ph up............lets just hope the pet shop has those things..........
yes yes and yes my friend, called a petshop this morning and they have pH testing kits and they have pH up n down,,.............tomorrow morning early ima head out there to get em........
ok so i repotted into 5 gallon pots with new soil................but still after repottingand watering with a little rhizotonic the ph of the new soil was at 5.5
is that normal because i tested the ph of the water with the rhizotonic and it had a high ph of around 8 or so but still when i checked it was low, or should i let the soil dry before checking the ph?
i will send you a link to a post i made about ph info its alot to read but good, you should definitely read it will make you understand the ph alot more!! brb with the link
A common mistake is thinking some simple PH-lowering of the water will lower the PH of the medium - long term, and effective.
What really makes your medium change PH over time is the nutrients you are using. And I'm not even talking about PH value of the nutrients itfself, but the effect is has on the growing medium when the plant eats it (which changes the soil PH).
THAT action (plant feeding on your media) is what defines what PH your medium will end up at, so choose your nutrients well.
here's a pic of what i 've got goin on.......as u can see the ones in the back are happier then the ones in the front, the seven in the back were transplanted yesterday and the 4 in the front today, the 4 up front are tangerine dreams, the 3 in the middle are NYPD and in the back i have one blue widow, one kushage one sour AK and one burmese kush.....and i stll have 2 darkstar that i have tho repot but i think those will be goin in my backyard.......
