ph question

Hi everyone!

I'm new here, on my second grow. I'm using fox farms coco loco for my medium this time. It has soil elements mixed in with the coco. Should I use the hydro ph @ 5.8 or soil at 6.5? I'm a little confused. The soil looks great. It retains its moisture kinda long though. Any thoughts?
Thanks!

6.5-7 as diabolical said, but if you want to get into not having to ph water and nutes you can add lime to your soil but you need a soil ph meter so you dont over do it.. i had to experiment starting off in small amounts. started with the bag instructions and went from their to achieve a constant ph of 6.5 i use a blue lab water/soil pen.

ok. Dial it to 6.5-7. (fox farm product likey) and dont worry about runoff. The soil will balance the nutes. Use half a teaspoon of epsom salt in feeding first signs of mag deficiency;) FF line lacks cal.mag. Signs of cal/mag deficiency: older fan leaves start yellowing and creating rust spots. Any balanced yellowing higher up on plant is usually needing nitrogen. Lack of N will cause domino effect of lockouts of nutrient availablity.
