PH is running right at 7.0, should I consider lowering a point, I know the range is from 5.5 to 6.5............plants are 1 week old just curious.

I would drop the ph. first of all ph is integral to ur plants for nutrient uptake. since they are only a week old how do u know that they aren't being affected. I know for a fact u will see slower growth with the ph out of parameters over time

Doesnt anyone want to know what medium he is growing in before they take PH questions into account? A PH of 7 is fine if you are in soil. Messing around with lowering agents and such opens up a ton of places where a mistake can be made. Just stick with it, the plant will be fine. Of course, if you are running hydro, then you better lower your PH.

I agree, big diff between soil and hydro.

While 7.0 might by fine in soil for a while, eventually it will start bringing the ph of the soil up. I prefer to stick with 6.5 Ph for the water. It isn't that hard to do.
