Phosphorous deficiency, why, and how do I theoretically fix it/avoid it

First time I have seen this in my garden. I started using RO water and I switched my base nutrient from botanicare to Advanced Nutes ph perfect connoisseur about a month ago. I am feeding at 800-1000 ppm, 6.1ph, on average feed 5x/week, flush once, one dry day, into FFOF that was not fed with for the first month of the plants life, and thus contains little or no residual food that it stared with. I am certain this is not a lockout form over feeding or a different nutrient def. Any advice on how to fix it, if the damage that has been done can be reversed, or avoid it in the future, is appreciated. thanks!

FFOF along with the 6.1 pH is troublesome .. You want 6.5-6.8 with Soil and the buffer added to FFOF is just oyster shell and this breaks down fast and even faster with the pH your feeding .. It will lead to a severe lockout in time .. I hate that soil myself for this single aspect .. Fuckers need to add some dolomite lime as once this soil ages it is worthless

Well a couple probs...1st, ur PH is too low 6.5-7.0 is good for soil...2nd, using ro water in soil is not good (unless you're organic), take cold tap water and let it set out for 24 hours to evaporate the chlorine, it has chelated minerals in it your plant needs anyway...and let that soil dry between waterings or you could end up with root rot...good luck... and just like school you need to study (read) about what you're doing before you do it, cuz right now you're failing this class..

I sounded a little harsh in my last post, that was not my intention bud. I'm right there with ya. I've been on my very first grow since late January, so basically I'm a n00b too, and it was trial and error and alot of good advice that I recieved here on these pages. I ended up downloading the "grow bible" and "marijuana basics" from a torrent they're a PDF file format so adobe will open it...That was the single most important peice of advice I recieved...READ...so I did and see for yourself how it helped...

006.jpgShe's 45 days days from sprout and 11 days in flower...

And here's my fuck up while I was learning, she got over watered, under nuted, over nuted, spider mites, and the list goes on..

003.jpgNot to mention, when she started growing agian she grw into a CFL light and topped herself...lmao...she's sad but she's still alive...

HAHA, this just goes to show the resilience of the plant !! Trail and error is always best, every good grower here learned their chops that way and you get better the more crazy shit you see :)

Thanks, Im in the process of getting rid of the FFOF and switching to Humbolt mix. Are you familiar with that soil at all? Its the best seller at the grow shop I work at, heard great things, but never tried it.

You definitely were a little harsh, especially from someone in the middle of their first grow. I asked this question on here because I recently switched to RO water and my nutes at the same time and was trying to narrow down the problem asap that is causing my deficiency.

Dont make the assumption that someone on here is a noob because they are new to the site, or because they do things differently that you have read in some shit book. Good luck and thanks for regurgitating some crap off of a spread sheet that you didnt know shit about. peace

What kind of mix does it have? Tried searching it and just the name Humbolt brings up too much, haha. Should have a compositional break-down onthe side/back ...

And RIKNSTEIN`s just trying to help mate, there`s a reason he reposted and apologized. He`s knows his shit too :)

Hit me up with that Composition !!

And by the way, you must be new, cuz apperantly I'm just "regurgitating some crap off of a spread sheet that you didnt know shit about. peace" , at least I know not to switch multiple things on my plants at once like some dumb ass newbie...peace..and apperantly I fixed my probs..

And on another note, what was I wrong about? Really, if I was wrong about something I'd like to know so I don't keep making those mistakes...
