[PHOTO] Is it mold ?

Idk what is it. The smell is a bit off but i would say is not bad. Not for me anyway. But the apparence seem strange to me. I would like your thought and what can i do about it.

It's a bud in jar since 5 month now. Humidity was about 55-57%. For the moment i just put it in a hermetic bag. But sadly if it's really mold ALL my jar is infected so..

Cut away infected area right now and harvest the plant. Save what u can, cut your losses. Start over, don't waste more time

Then it was not dried enough before being closed up and it molded. I would throw it all away in that case. It is all contaminated
Really man i don't understand. I waited that branch snap before to jar. I put Boveda 62%, i monitored with hydrometer, burped everyday for 30 mn everyday (while about 2 months.) And i just got mold like it ?

when you have big buds and you dry at a higher temperature or lower humidity usually the buds will dry from the outside but the inside will stay a little bit wet.
if you burp your jars when room humidity is above 60% all that wet air goes in the jar soo you basicly made it worse
or you simply didnt have a clean enviorment in your house and mold spores got in

Yea it was likely your big buds and main colas that were still wet, and you probably had some mold on one that you missed that help it to take off in the jars. Some of the small stuff might be ok but the big ones look totally infested. All that dead matter inside the colas while it was growing from the dead leafs is all it takes. Gotta keep those sugar leafs green.

Bud weight 2g , My room humidity is about 45% (50 at most) and my room don't have any moisture / is clean. But well "it's life" i guess. whatever.

Grove bags really help the cure, they would of saved you from this mistake. They don't let you just throw in wet buds to dry, but they let out moisture slowly down to 60%, you being so close to dry enough, the bags would of let them cure properly...

Ok i see. Just still some questions. I have others crop drying at the moment in the same room. It's risky for them ? Does i need to clean every walls/celling to get rid of any spores ? What funguus do you think is it ?

I just want to learn to avoid that mistake in the futur. Not a big deal if i loss some bud. (Well a bit , but i will live.)

Is it safe to cut off the part infected to smoke it ? bongsmilie
