im taking down my ww's today and i would love to take a good preharvest pictorial but i have a couple questions...

how do i take a pic of the trichs through the 60x scope? is it just as simple as get a view with my eye and then replace my eye with the camera?

how do i take a good macro shot with dark or fuzzy background?

any tips? im using a sony cybershot 7.2.

p.s when i snapped a few shots the other day and then put em on the computer it said they were 2.0 mp so did i have my settings wrong?

I think when people post scoped pics they are using a scope that can hook up to a tv or computer.

For around $100 you can get a pretty nice scope that takes pictures. For me, I just use my 12mp Canon use the close-up mode, put the buds against a black background, and then snap away. my auto focus usually screws it up, but out of 10 pictures, one is sure to be a primo focused shot. GL with your pics, make sure to post them!

Check the resolution...and before you snap a pic, just lightly press and hold the button down and it'll try to focus, repeat this until you get the bud in perfect focus...

Hi Buddy
First - take the photos under natural lights or .. just not hps since you'll have that yellow teint (can be removed in photo shop though).

To take the best crisp closeup you should probably zoom out/away as long as possible and get the camera as close as it can get focused (most cameras say a beep when pressing shoot button half down - beep when in focus). This is better than starting to zoom - do that afterwoods in the photo (and make sure your camera is set to take best quality/largest photo files).

If the camera has a "macro" function use it (it's normally iconed with a small tulip).

Just my couple of tips.
good luck and looking forward to see ;O))

thanks everyone. ill add rep in a few minutes!

what about the flash? should it only when its dark? does it help at all in a well lit room?

Hi - the flash is too much usually. It will make the bud completely white from the backflash from the shiny bud. If you want it really nice take the photo outside with no flash.
