I don't really know the answer but am very interested to know one.
I just used Physan 20 as I could not get rid of the slime/algae no matter what I tried. I did read on another forum (think it may have been icmag) that one grower was successfully using a cap full per 25 gallons as a preventative measure. He was successful, plants looked good and had good growth, but I do not know the end results.
