Picked up some goodies

Well it's been quite awhile since my last grow but I recently became a caregiver so it's time to get back in the game. I'm trying to stay completely organic and this is what I've came up with so far Biobizz Grow,Bloom and Fish along with Roots HPK/HP2 Guanos for flower and Great White. Let me know if you guys have any suggestions with these products or anything I could add to the line up to help. I'll be growing in a Coco/Perlite mix. Thanks!!

A calmag product and do you plan to amend soil? I too run coco as well as many other mediums and coco does extremly well in a smart pot with amended soil.

Great thanks! Any suggestions on a good cal-mag product? And I didn't plan on using an amended soil although I really wanted to. Correct me if I'm wrong but i thought that you didn't need to use and nutes with a "super soil"? Thanks again!! ✌️

You can amend soil however you like. Want to "just add water"? Go heavy on the amendments. Want to use an occasional tea? Mix it up medium strength. Want to rely on bottles for nutrients? Probably still a good idea to amend your soil with some kelp and possibly some lime or other rock dusts.

If you must use a bottled cal/mag product, the General Organics CaMg+ works fine.

Does the Kelp/lime replace the cal/mag? Sorry I'm an amateur at best lol I really appreciate all the help.

The kelp supplies micronutrients (things other than N, P, and K). The dolomite lime buffers pH (especially in mixes with a lot of peat moss, which is acidic). Dolomite lime also supplies calcium and magnesium, but not instantly. It takes time to break down.

If you are using your tap water, you very well may not need to supplement with bottled calcium or magnesium (most city water has that).

I'd add the kelp at 1 TBSP/gal. The lime amount will depend on what soil you use, but 1 TBSP/gal is probably a safe bet if you choose a peat-based soil (like Fox Farms).

Thank you! I really appreciate the info. Unfortunately I already bought Coco and I've read that using lime products with Coco can make your Ph hard to deal with. But I will be using tap water so hopefully they get a sufficient amount from that like you said. Thank you again so much! I definitely plan on picking up a kelp product and using your ratio.

Didn't notice that part about growing in just coco and perlite... Adding amendments to that won't do much unless you also add some sort of compost. Compost, worm castings, forest humus, any kind of humus will help.

Humus (and the microbiology which comes along with it) is really the key piece that makes organic gardening work.

Growing in coco and perlite alone with bottled nutrients is essentially passive hydroponics. It's the humus, minerals, and soil microbiology that really make an organic grow work like it should.

I would add worm casting in the soil forsure and Oyster shell flour for ca, camg by g.o is a good choice. Anything spicysativa says you can trust. Ive learned some tricks from him.
