The widow clones are doing pretty well, gonna let them get nice and rooted in the cups then give them more room.

Here's what the widows look like one day under the 1000w HPS, I should be flipping them within the next day or two, not all will stay, just letting them get some good lighting for a couple days to beef them up.

As you can see the temp isn't bad this is only the 1000hps, and the high end was 82F in the heat of the day today, not bad. So i decided to try the 400hps hanging a little angled so the air cooling of the other light would kinda suck up the heat. lol Didn't seem to bad only went up 2.5 degree's with the 400 this way, if i can keep the temps under 85f I'll keep the both running any higher than that, I'll turn the 400hps off. Its not getting a whole lot extra being that far away. Comments appreciated on this one, is whats the trade off in that lighting vs the 3 degree's in temp?

Pay no attention to the three droopy plants laying around in the front.. They have weak stems and need support they are being given to a friend.

Photo0352.jpg

The two yellow square buckets are my big widow girls, the one in a 16lt pot in a bucket is the smaller of the three widows. Kinda a round vs sq container battle with round have a minor disadvantage with the smaller widow.

Photo0351.jpg

The floor space these plants are covering is 5ft x 4.5ft. The three messy ones in the front will be taken out today/tommorrow.

Photo0350.jpg

I'm hoping the progress goes well. The citrus bagseed is small but i'm going to flower it anyways, there is a Kush and I believe a misc Haze that will make it to the flowering, they aren't as big as I'd like them but it will make everything easier in the long run. I got them from another friend, they had spider mites that I thought was taken care of, so back on my first grow I topped them generously to the lower infested branches, and trashed them, cloning the top, after I sprayed them down very well. I'm not really sure which was which, when I marked them,as I said they were from a friend could be something totally differnt, so it wasn't a big concern which was which. I think I confused myself on that one. lol

Kinda hard to see what is what in those pictures I"ll take individuals next time.

White Widow #2
This was from a cutting from another friend it was the second strongest of the three.
Photo0364.jpg
White Widow #1
This was the strongest cutting by far, I topped this one a little more than the others.
Photo0363.jpg
White Widow #3
The runt of the three widows, I almost let it veg longer, but figured I'd see what the little girl does.
Photo0368.jpg
I'm not really sure if this was haze, it was from a friends cutting I'm calling it Ilean#1
Photo0366.jpg
This shorty here is kinda an experiment, it was starting to preflower already so I'll see what this midget does. It was a reveg from a friend, and it just never seemed to come back right, so I'll just let it flower.
Photo0361.jpg
This one is from my last grow also, very weird plant, went from egg smell while growing cutting down, and cured to a juicy fruit smell and flavor.
Photo0362.jpg
This is Ilean#2 also from the same friends cutting of another plant, its a mess. We'll see what she does.
Photo0367.jpg
This is the citrus mystery from the last grow, from bagseed, was pretty damn good smoke, and had a very good citrus flavor, not really strong, just a hint of lemon, I cloned it while it was flowering hence why its still so short, but it stayed rather short the first time around also, I have two clones of this in veg still incase its way better the second round, if not out she goes.

I need to get some jiffy pods to start some of the other seeds I have backstocked. I should put a poll on here to see what I should sprout next. heh

Group Photo, they seems to be shooting right along, put a yard stick to get an idea of growth for the next set of pictures.

I picked up some peat pods to start some more seeds, I planted the 3 remaining LSD feminized, and the whole Green House Indica I pack which had one of each,... Trainwreck, Cheese, Church, Lemon Skunk, and El Nino. They have been in peat pots for two days so far I will be checking up on them tonight. I normally like to use a wet napkin, but they are at another location that does not allow me to check them frequently, like I normally would if I had used napkins.

Little bit of an update I added 3 clones to the flowering room to see how much they acctually stretch in the first two weeks of flowering, if anyone is wondering about the duct tape thats on the pots I seen some gnats, so I placed some duct tape sticky side up around the pots to catch any adults, I also watered with azamax incase there was larve in the dirt.

Things are looking pretty good so far, the widow's are shooting all over the place, lots of bud sites everywhere on the large ones in the square tubs. They all got there first dose of Fox Farm Open Sesame, 1/8 tsp to gallon. I didn't want to add to much being they all got fresh transplant when I started flowering them.

These are from two days ago, I haven't been over to the spot to check them, hopefully tonight. I noticed some yellowing leaves and those damn red/rust colored spots again, but this time the leaves were still soft to the tough, not crispy. So I did a little research, and looked as if it was lacking nutrients. I fed them with this recipe to a gallon of water. 1/8 tsp beastie bloom, 1 tsp Tiger bloom, 1.5 Tbps Big Bloom. I'm hoping they will snap back, there is still about four weeks left to go, they are at various dates, as follows.

Original 6 - Day 24
First Set of 3 - Day 17
Second set of 2 - Day 6
Last Set Of 3 - Day 3

I tried to off set them sorta according to size, everything after the first set was kinda on the small side, compared to some of the other ones. The first set of 3, doubled in size in about 7-10 days. The ones added after the fact should produce less because of size, thats why I decreased the span of days between starting them. Except for the yellowing, and the little bit of spotting. I just hope I didn't make a mistake and overfeed them by mis-diagnosis. My digital camera is shot, so phone pictures are the only thing going right now.

Looking a little better, giving them the 1 tbps big bloom, 1 tsp Tiger bloom, seems to helped with the yellowing problem, buds are forming nicely. The fat indica that I'm not sure if its haze or kush because of a mislabel during cloning, is the nicest of the batch. Its forming a nice big cola bigger than any thing else in the room. Its also the only one that isn't showing any yellowing or spotting. I am hoping its just a light feeder. I was a little hesitant on putting them in so small they were roughly 9" tall but I'm pretty happy with the results.

I also put hydroton on the top of the soil of the larger white widow's. The kush/haze I mentioned, when it was transplanted, I didn't have enough soil to fill to the top, so I used hydroton for the top 2-3 inches, and being that one is looking the best, I decided to add, the hydroton that I had left, to the tops of the larger plants, and I'm waiting to see the results from that, its only been 2 days.

When the first set of 6 plants are cut down it will make so much more room in there, being the other's are much smaller, and not as bushy. I'll have to veg them a little longer, I went with the smallest size I thought would do decently, and most were about 7-9" tall only being topped once, I think I'll let them go 12-14" and top them a little more. I am also staying away from the party cups this time also, and let them get a NICE root in the cloner and go straight to something larger, they seem to grow very fast in the cloner, and get alot taller, so on this batch of clones I'm experimenting with topping them once when they go in the cloner, than topping again when they reach my lights that are 3-5" above them.

It's always the runt it seems....
It seems that the smaller ones always tend to look the best, I didn't expect much from this one at all, but my how she has swollen.
Photo0012.jpgPhoto0120.jpgPhoto0118.jpg

The rest are looking decent, I'm not really happy with the current situation, lots of yellow on the three biggest widow plants. I'm getting the other extreme in this grow-a-round, in that I didn't give them really any nutes. I would have tried photo's of each but my phone sucks. I'll be able to tell tommorrow when they should be dried and ready to be watered. I fed them 1tbsp big bloom 1tsp tigerbloom to 1 gallon of water to all but the last two I added to the room.

Update on seeds, none of the green house pack spouted, or the other 4 barneys farm LSD. I am not very happy about that, I'll never leave for five days and leave seeds to someone else to take care of, lesson learned. I also will never sprout seeds in any other method besides the paper towel. I started two more of the seeds I ordered, DNA Sour Cream, and DNA Sour Kush. The sour kush is already showing a taproot this morning.

I'm pretty sure the others died from to much water, I think my friend got a little water happy. I didn't want to tell him that though, so I just said bad seeds.

At least the one barneys farm is doing well. I just hope I dont' get a male or a hermie from that one after reading some of the other journals on this site, even though it was a fem seed.

More ramblings to come later.

So I dug up all my green house seeds that still were intact, and put them in wet napkins I don't have much faith in getting them to sprout, but worse case I waste some napkins. The taproot on the Sour Cream, and Sour Kush are progressing well, they should be in soil in the next day or so. I also salvaged two Barneys Farm LSD seeds from the seed incident, and put them in napkins as well, what the hell right?

Still seeing a bit of yellow, and seeing a few gnats. If it is gnats causing it I just hope they make it for the next 3 weeks or so, the buds are forming nicely, and I gave them a dose of 1 1/2 tsp Tiger Bloom, 1 tbsp Big Bloom, 1/8 tsp Beastie Bloom.

I did an experiment also, to see if maybe the Big Bloom was attracting gnats more so the ones that were added later I watered half with, and half without.

What a difference a party cup makes. I'll never put clones into party cups again, slows them down greatly. I put a couple of clones into 6-10qt pots, and what a differnce it was like night and day as far as growth.

This " Widow " Strain
The strain i got from a friend I have basically come to the conclusion that a 6-9" clone will spring up to about 18", its yet to be determined how they will produce though. I'm guesstimating as long as they are in a 2-3gallons of soil they should at least produce an oz. This is a guess, from the things I learned last grow about pot size/plant size, but its first time flowering with this strain so... we'll see.

The " Lemon Bagseed "
I like this strain and I hope it turns out a little better this time around, being I have a better understanding of how it grows. I think this strain would be better suited for a larger vegg'd plant, being the way it grows one large cola, and ususally 5-7 side branches will be just under it. I should top and train this strain a little more in veg. before putting it into flower. It doesn't stretch much it seems, and stays pretty short.

Just a few of my random thoughts so I'll remember them later, back with some pictures by next week.
