Does this one look ok. I dont want to spend a lot on a Truncheon. Will this atleast be sufficiet to tell me how much Nutes to add to my Hydro. Opinions please!!! It only cost $11.99 on ebay!!!

Hanna is used by alot of schools and universities in the classroom. Hanna is respected as a decent mid-range meter. Although not the best, it should be plenty accurate enough for our growing purposes. Its what I ordered... already have the Hanna PH meter and I't couldn't work any better! Hope this helps,

So what do you think is the best? Milwaukee? can you leave the milwukee in the dwc bucket? are there different kinds of probes for dirt or one for hydro?

It only reads TDS/EC of the moisture/water in the soil. Typiv cally it is easiest to just take a reading of the drainage from soil. With hydro the probe can just be palced into the nutrient solution. A Horticulturalist would normally take a sample of moist soil and use a vacumn pump or syringe arrangement to draw water from the soil sample through a filter. They then test the TDS or EC of this resulting nutrient solution.
