First off, before anyone gives me a hard time, I'd like to say this is my first time attempting to grow. I didn't really research it that much, pretty much planted some seeds and one plant actually made it. Next time I'll for sure do things right. :bigjoint:

In the mean time, my plant has been looking great, although it's been growing for months. I read about lighting not too long ago, moved the plant to my closet and set up a fish tank light with t5's above it. I'm an aquarium hobbiest also, so I had a spare. I'm using a white and a red light setup that is meant for coral reefs. I recently put foil around the base of the pot because the bottom leaves didn't have good coloring, I figured it was due to not enough light hitting them. I water about every other day.

Anyhow, my girlfriend's cat ate part of the plant today. She left the closet door open when we left to go to work. I don't really care for cats, but he looks alright. When I was checking out the half-eaten leaves I noticed that some of the smaller leaves around newly formed buds were yellowish on the tips.

Also, how long should it take for my plants to get bigger buds? They've been the same size for at least three weeks now. I just found this awesome forum today, so I'm headed out this afternoon to get a bigger pot, new soil, and some bloom nutes.

I'm looking for some advice as to what to do with the plant to make it better. Below are a bunch of pictures to help you guys out. I hope that's enough information, haha. Looks like I wrote a novel...

Thanks in advance!

(also, my lights just came on before I took these pictures so the bottom leaves are a little droopy. They usually perk up more in the afternoon.)

Here's what the buds look like:

I just put the foil in there, I'll take it out though. I had a lot of people tell me I should do it, yay for listening to friends that don't know what they're talking about! The leaves looked like that before the foil went in though, so that's no the problem.

I switched to the 12/12 about 2-3 weeks ago.

Two times more light is needed during in flowering stage than it's during vegetative stage. Also, orange-red spectrum of light is more efficient during flowering. So if you already haven't, add some warm white (2200-2500K) light into your setting.

Plain white plastic is better than aluminum foil, even styrofoam is better than aluminum foil. You should also consider to support the lower branches with some vertical lighting, and try to position your lights as close as possible (about 3-5 inches)...

Cool, thanks for the info.. The light fixture I use has 2 bulbs, one is a red spectrum the other is white. Foil is out. I'm hoping that putting the plant into a bigger pot with fresh soil and nutes will fix the issue with the leaves. It seems like it's only the smaller leaves near the buds that are wilting and changing colors.
