Good answer. It does look a bit premature. 8 weeks is just a basic guideline. Some of mine have been flowering for over 10 weeks and still need a week or two more.

It will look completely different to the bud you buy because it has just been picked. Its ripe green. As it ages it will look more like the stuff you buy as it will turn darker as it cures.quote=Pizzzh;318847]more weed than you had before

Most of my weed always gets lighter green during the cure since the chlorophyll breaks down and leaves the bud.

i flowered white berry for almost 11 weeks, and the package said 50 days flowering, and im sooo glad i waited it out, the stone is a 1 hit wonder, and its sooo smooth, you will not realize the size hit you take, untill you blow out a massive cloud and your eyes start to water. lol. i love home grown,

Hey guys, thanks for the replies! I will definitely let their clones go for longer this time as well as adjust many other variables Im not happy with!

They are mostly skunk #1, and Im alternating between jar and air dry, they have taken a more orange color now and still smell like hay but a bit less! As for the weight... I still think its going to be more than 2 oz :hump: those pics are tricky I know :blsmoke:

Its hard to say cuz when you click the pictures it goes to image shack an no picture shows so only the thumb nail can be seen and no size refereces to see pile size. You will loose 70 percent of the wet when drying and curing. I hang the whole plant after it gets its manicure for 9 days in a drak are with a light fan in the room moving air. I then remove the buds from the branches then either set on screens for 3-5 days or 3 days in paper bags to draw moisture out. ! day in bag with top closed then 1/2 day top open then last day or so closed bag. Then to jars to cure opening twice a day for 30 minutes. I dont agree with using platic bags as this makes the buds sweat and causes mildew, mold, rot and a bad grass smell as the break down is held on to the wet bud.Hers a few that were recently chopped down...

look nice and sticky dude! Ya I know the pics aren't the best, I'll post better ones but just for reference the pile was about 2 ft x 2ft and 3" high, maybe a little bigger.

As for the plastic bags I think its purpose is to in fact sweat the buds to get all the moisture from the inside out and slows the breakdown. I like this method for the more fluffy type of bud as I feel that way they won't get too dry.

If you like I guess go ahead I hate the taste and smell of plastic and it gets into the buds so I never will do it.I liker a nice clean bud thats just right its hard and dry then you break it and there is just a hint of moisture as the smell fills the room as its crumpled mmmm

4real man eaither way your gowing to have some nice bud considering u grew it yourself and it wasnt grown in bulk using a shitty method just to get alot of bud real fast like commercial street dealers do...

IT does look towards the plain side not liek other buds i've seen where you can barely see the green itslef behind all the resin :-|.. But in the end i could be totally worng and you could have some knock out bud. Truely you won't be able to tell until you're done curing and able to smoke it...
rememba, the slower you dry it, the better the end results are:blsmoke:..

Total weight was 3 oz dry. I would rate it as some low-grade, 2-3 bowls gave you a nice mellow high, not knockout by any means. But perfect for some girls as it seems... anyhoo, mistakes? #1 EARLY HARVEST by 2 weeks+ #2 overwatered for a bit of its early life maybe. The remaining 6 are now in at 10+ weeks but it looks like its going to be much denser and are already covered in crystals, still need another 2 weeks though... Wow Sativas take long but yield juicier buds! Anyone know of a faster maturing strain, the skunk #1 took 10 weeks for me and the sativas are taking 12-13 weeks!? The 6 sativas>14 indicas in weight I could have had much denser bud if I let the others go longer...Oh well you live and learn! I want suggestions of all sorts! Are CFLs worth it for undergrowth?

funny!
I think it looks fine. I think it was picked a bit prematurely but I have done that also. I grew outside this year and some of mine took over 12 weeks.
Its still fresh but it will darken up later.
I'd say you have maybe an ounce or two but its really difficult to tell by pics without anything in the pic to compare the buds to. I usually add a lighter or something.

It looks great and you should be proud. Its your own bud you grew yourself.

Happy toking !
more weed than you had before

You don't want to water cure..
I personaly wouldnt wast another bud using water cure.
..But if you like tastless cannabis, then water cure is the way to go.

bud in water, keep bud submerged, change water every day, keep in dark place,2-5 days.
