Sooo when is someone forming the new DIY-centric/thoughtful-prefab-tolerant LED forum? (Not volunteering, I'm pretty useless when it comes to internetz)

As much as I love RIU it would be much more fun/efficient ;);-) to have a front page without a single Mars thread and all the useful stickies at our fingertips.

Two separate sections: one for guides/literature and one for discussion. I know its been mentioned before but I'll mention it again until it happens as I don't really use this forum for anything else!

I am yea. What do you think? The whole site is only about a week old.

Edit: To clarify, I setup the site, and have been working on improving functionality and creating a place for DIY LED Light design/pictures/videos, but it wasn't my idea, and we definitely can't do it alone!

I just picked up some angelina reflectorsf13838. I think they make a huge difference if not using a tent. I saw someone posted some number measuring light with and without the reflectors.

I have 8 more to do sometime this weekend. Oh and to answer a question i saw posted earlier, you can install these with the cob and holder still attached. You do have to drill and tap 2 holes for screw to hold the adapters. It can be done, but there is risk of damaging the cob if you were to strike it on the drill bit while positioning it. I used a bandana to cover the cob while doing the drilling to keep the turnings from acidently touching the LES.

Bonjour
Thanks banana!
I plan to do the same on the "sides" cob not in the middle of the growbox!
I have reflective walls but I want to try it to increase penetration!
Have a great year★

Meanwell LDD 700 and Cree 730nm far red from rapid led on an aluminum bar. Flowering initiator. About 4.25 watts. Should be good for about 5sqft

The heat was not an issue. They run cool.
