You may have mentioned this...but I did not see it. So what was the thinking in mounting the fans to one end? And are the heat sink fins open at the other end also? Thanks.

Mostly lack of space. The driver is big and mounting 2 80mm fans left me with only one option. Yes the other end is open as well. Having the extra fan makes sure there is plenty of air flow out all openings not just down the length of the heat sinks not to mention the fans are not noticeable sound wise. I was slightly worried at first putting vent slots on the sides thinking it would not direct the airflow down the length of the heat sink but now that it's done I'm glad I did because it's plenty of flow.

Going to do a video when I get it finished. Will be mostly the features it has. The build is a bit on the complicated side so I won't go into how I machined all the parts. But will share what drivers and cobs it has in it and why I designed it the way I did.
Thanks was going for a space aged design.

I've just finished the build of my first DIY lamp, and wanted to show you!
It's running 5x Vero29 6.Gen. 3000k 80cri @~1500ma
The fixture is 60x60cm and the spacing between the cobs is 40x40cm.
Designed to fit perfectly into my 80x80cm tent..
This will be the first time i'll be flowering under LED, so i'm just so exited right now

Very very clean! Each on their own driver huh? Wired together on one single power cord? Pairui lgsu250-1400 or meanwell 240-1400 could have ran em all, but that's still awesome. So I noticed 4x 12v (I assume) power supplies and only see 3 fans. What's that about?Hi guys!

Yes, all the drivers are parallel wired together on a single power cord..
The reason i choose the separate drivers was an economical decision.
Drivers and cobs are the discount choice, but are getting cheaper and better fast..
So i figured i would try it out, and when i first got the panel, i can all ways change the cobs or drivers if i am not happy with the performance.
Switching from HPS, i'm not that concerned about the small amount of efficiency i could have had extra, if i had chosen a single driver.
In Denmark where i live, i have to pay an import tax of every package send to me from outside EU with a value over $12...
The import tax is 25% of the value of my order +$24...
An example could be: Lets say i buy an item for $20, then i have to, $5 + $24 = $29 for the item, before it is released by customs and the mail can deliver it to me.
Therefore I bought all my drivers on single ebay auctions for about $8, and my build became alot cheaper than i could have done otherwise.
About the junction boxes:
The two boxes on the right side is where the 220v to the drivers are parallel wired.
The top left box is the 12v powersupply
The bottom left is where the 3 wires from the fans are parallel wired.

I've just taken a photo of the wirering for a domestic cannabis board im at, so you can get it as well
For the strain i have some clones of SinCity Seeds - SinMint Cookies, that i have chosen from an earlier grow.
I am looking forward to see how my phenotypes are behaving under these cobs
Here's some photos of them from earlier grows.. They'd stand under 400w HPS + 90w blurple LED, at that moment.
Right now my panel will pull about 250w plus a little, (haven't measured yet, in lack of a tool) ..
I am not completely sure it is enough compared to my earlier grow, so actually i have 4x epileds 660nm 60w cobs arriving in next week, which i am planning to run in parallel on a single 100w driver. I'll also be adding 8x 3w Luxeon 450nm in serial on a 20w driver... And to top it, i also have some 3w IR noname leds which i will be running for 10mins after lights off..
But i dont know, if i just should try it out now or add all the exstra before i start flowering with it..
If i add it all i will be closer to my last grow i wattage, and i would kinda like it to compare what i am getting HPS/LED

Last time i checked seeds was sold out everywhere, it's kinda sad...
Actually mine were selected out of regular seeds, and i have plans of making some S1 seeds on one of them.
Maybe I can send you some in the future when they're ready, but i would never dare to send a living plant

It is pretty quiet now i have it fixed. Was never supposed to have the fans on the end of the heat sinks. But didn't have much of a choice had to flower my plants before the light was finished so I slapped those small fans on there to get threw the run. By the time i stuffed all the crap in the case it couldn't breath well enough to keep the cobs cool enough. Ended up adding a inch and a half to the height of the case and moved 2 of the drivers ,it now runs below 40c cranked all the way up to 720 watts. The four fans in the top are German designed rated @ 17.7 decibels 60cfm and have a lifetime rating of 150000 hours @ 25c. I'll be happy if they last just half of the rated 17 years. So it is pretty quiet the exhaust fan for my grow room is a lot louder then the light. Now i just have to build the top part that will let the light do 360s. Have a Mcmaster-carr order that supposed to be here today that should be the last of what i need to finish the light. Just a matter of finding the time to work on it now.What about noise?
