Hello friends. I made something i´m trying today. A little hot even with 3 thermaltake high speed fans.
Those are driverless cob leds that I bought ot Aliexpress, very cheap, I know they will surely be a crap but I wanted to try.

There are 7 cobs of 50W each, I do not have yet to verify that they are real but the seller has very good reviews. They are 350W that have the double more brightness than the MarsHydro 300W that I am using.

The only problem is that they heat up a lot and the tent reaches a temperature of 32C (with MarsHydro never touch 25C and I have to open the door to release heat.

What could you recommend? Thank you

vent the tent. get a small extraction fan and some dryer vent, put the fan over your light, hook the dryer vent to it, and then out a window

Go go n chill

dam how much did that cost you? I just can't justify the cost for the amount of light, just seems way to expensive for what u get!
Nope, its not!
You pay for better efficiency and better efficiency means more light for the same watts. More light means more yield! So lets say he get 1-2oz more how long does it takes to pay for the extra costs?
And in addition, he can drive the boards much harder! Three times as hard if he wants! Each module can be driven with 200w and would still deliver ~2,3μMol/j. He has just decide to run them dimmed down to 1050mA as the plants seems not to need more light currently. Pretty sure he can ramp up the light far more, brother.

Even running @700ma is really bright.
Almost too bright for my space.
Cheers!

you have too look at the price to operate over a set amount of time. a good 400 watt led is the equal of a 600 watt hps.
12 hours a day at 5 cents an hour is better than 7.5 cents an hour. and while a good ballast can last you for years, bulbs will not. if you buy even mid quality bulbs, you'll be spending around 40 bucks a year to replace each one you have. then you have to consider the cooling costs, you don't have to run that extraction fan full speed anymore, half speed will probably be more than enough. that's quieter, as well, and your carbon filter will last longer.
won't take but a year or two for you to be ahead of the game.

Christ I head heat problems with my 600w hps in 4x4 with an 8in extraction fan full speed.
Now have 640 watts led and the fan is turned down to minimum and I may even need to downsize my fan! Temp barely gets to 74.

Very nice setup! The two cylinders on the wall... fans? De-humidifiers?

Holmes makes a good fairly cheap tower fan, i have two in my flower tent. i have them hung upside down, so they're not taking up floor space. they run just fine that way, been at least two years now. actually, one of them was starting to not want to turn while they were sitting on the floor. i hung it up to see if it would work better with the weight off of the bearing. it did, so i hung the other one as well.

Got a new light up, the old one is 2x2 (12x 1ft Bridgelux 3500k),120watts with a couple Epistar pink COBs to fill the corners. The wiring was a rush job on this.
They work for veg, fail for flower. All the tops go for the Bridgelux at flip

Repaced that with new 2x4 (12x 2ft Bridgelux 3500k), 240 watt, Sonoff TH16 controller, Temp & RH Sensor AM2301 ,tied to app on the phone. Only 3 1/2 inches thick
Got all the Wagos in 1 box with dimmer, and armored the sensor cable so it hangs right in the canopy.
Nice and tidy, no wires or screws visible afterward.

Empress Kush x Blue Cheese, 2 weeks in. The canopy cover is amazing with these lights

Edit: Turned on and off at 530, wifi still working inside tent. App is updating sensor readings and device state.
