Pineapple Express Dyna gro in an ebb gro

Welcome to all who view this thread. My only purpose on here is to show that I have been using only grow, mag pro and protekt through out the whole grow. No additives what so ever. In my previous pineapple express grow, I used more bloom and tried adding in some grow to supplement some nitrogen to stop the yellowing. The yellowing progressed to a point where the leaves on the bud were getting yellow as well. Most would say this is normal but at a 1.1 ec I dont see any reason for leaf drop this much. After doing some reading, I found that either the nitrogen was getting locked out or I wasnt using enough nitrogen at all.

My setup is:

Room is 5.5x10.5 but the plants only occupy 8 out of the 10.5' of space
2 1000w hps with light rail
18 site ebb and gro
1 wall mount oscillating fan
1 15000 btu window unit
195 cfm fan with carbon scrubber
1/4 hp active aqua water chiller

My previous flowering schedule is as follows: (I dont not have pics of this grow)

3x a day feedings for 30 mins
3-4 mls of bloom
1-2 mls of grow
1 ml of mag pro
4 mls of pro tekt
This last run harvested 410g dry weight. This was with only 10 plants.

As of right now my flowering schedule is:

4 mls of grow
4 mls of pro tekt
2 mls of mag pro
3x a day for 30 mins
the ec is at 1-1.1
I prefer not to go over 1.2-1.3 ec if possible. Right now I feel if I go with any more grow that I will be overdoing it with the nitrogen. The plants are very green and I dont want to risk toxicity. I am already starting the 5th week of flowering and seeing hardly any yellowing. The occasional here and there but nothing like I have had before. Keep in mind that I cannot keep a weekly log but will post the plants at harvest and after they have been cured. Most people want to see if there are any benefits to using more nitrogen through out flower and I cant seem to find any that actually show pics of their progress. Hopefully this helps some people. Let me know what yall think. PS. this is my second grow in a over a year since my last chocolope grow. so this would be my 5th full grow under my belt. Still a noob but hey everyone started somewhere. Questions and opinions are welcome.

My thoughts as well. I thought by vegging for at least a few weeks that the canopy would fill in better but these pineapple express dont stretch too much.

Those girls looks nice and healthy rsxr, tried to calculate your NPK with those numbers you listed and got a true NPK of approx 2-3-4 once you account for available P and K in P[SUB]2[/SUB]O[SUB]5 [/SUB]and K[SUB]2[/SUB]O which seems like a nice ratio to run with. I feel most run with too much P in flower.

I have been messing around with Dyna Gro as well and think its a great nutrient line. Do you use RO water? what PH do you get with those numbers? I find I cant use Protekt and Grow at a 1:1 ratio without the PH being way to high.

Yes I do use ro water. After mixing I get a ph of 6 but in veg the ph starts off at no more than 6.5. It usually take a few tablespoons to bring it down. Im waiting to see if using that much mag pro is too much. Thats still pretty high on the phosphorous.

Thanks for the PH info my past runs have been with TAP and I just got an RO unit and was curious how it would affect PH. With TAP I would only go up to about 2.5 ml\G of ProTekt but always wanted to run more especially in Veg and the first 2 weeks of flower.

I don't think 2ml\G of Mag Pro is to much especially if you are not using Bloom. The only thing to watch out for using MagPro to supplement P and not Bloom is you will be running lower PPMs of micro nutrients as MagPro does not contain all micros like Bloom does. but if you do not see any deficiencies then there is no problem and magpro is a good source for Magnesium when using RO.

FOr the protekt I started off with 2 ml, and went no more than 4 ml in veg.; depending on the size of the plant and nutrient uptake. When looking at the back of the bottles of grow and bloom, I nothiced the only thing different was the npk %. I have to look at the dyna gro website site and see if there is more listing of nutrients with different ratios. The ppm of bloom is 75 per ml/g and magpro is 59 per ml/g at a scale of .5. I have read on this site that dyna gro states that bloom is not needed but only put out because of customer demand which is one of the reasons I started this thread/ decided to use grow through the whole flowering period.

Sorry I did not mean to imply that Grow and Bloom have different levels of micros. They are both exactly the same except for their NPK ratios. What I meant was grow and bloom versions have higher levels of micro nutrients than Dyna-Gro's foliage pro or all pro versions. That is the only reason I am switching back to Grow for veg\moms. Bloom is basically a powerful P booster that wont throw off your levels of micro when used with grow and would be better to use than MagPro unless you are seeing some kind of Mg or Sulfur deficiency specifically in my opinion.

i use dynagro. Generally use bloom/protect/mag-pro/RO water
I have a tray of Foliar Pro going now and the plants are way green and healthy but Im not sure the buds are forming as quickly as my bloom trays.
Not a scientific study because the foliar pro tray vegged much longer than normal.
Also I just ran out of foliar pro in Week 6 and Im not sure Im going to buy more. I think Ill just switch to Grow on this tray to keep the non-bloom theme alive.

Heres an update on how things look so far. Heres some shots right after lights out. Theres been some yellowing and some burnt tips on the leaves but nothing severe. I would say about 85% of the leaves are still green and healthy. Today is the 44th day of flowering. I give them til the end of next week before harvest. I have had to put some bamboo stick to hold up some of the plants.
