Hello peoples! Long time reader, first time poster haha. Here I am 2nd Harvest and I am trying to pinpoint that perfect Trichome time..... I have 9 plants, and I have included 3 pictures of 1 of them.....

2014-12-27 07.28.55.jpgOk now Im just showing off lol, approaching the end of week 7 on these guys. Blue Cheese and Chemdawg in this tent. These are my 9 girls :)

Again, approaching end of week 7, both strains say 9 weeks, but damn......what do you guys think??

you can take a top (or plant ) now, one next week & one a week later, see which ripeness you prefer. then you know for next run

good luck

Nice pictures. What strain is it? Don't see too many cloudy trichomes. I would give her at least two more weeks for cloudy trichomes and maybe shoot for four weeks for amber, maybe more.

The last picture shown is of a Blue Cheese plant, the ultra hairy ones you see in some of the other ones is Chemdawg. :) Thanks for the advice so far, waiting 2 more weeks puts me right at my 9 week mark, so that basically already confirms what I am thinking. But I have this scope, and a loupe, so Ill continue checking daily and posting pics when I think I need a second opinion haha :) I am my own worst enemy when it comes to this type of stuff....Ill talk myself out of many different things just because of a fleeting thought. Thanks again guys.

Learning to harvest at the "proper" time is simply put, "A learned art".

Longer then breeders reports is a given in my book.
Every run has it's own "life". So you can never say "At day x,y or z" is the proper time.
The time to harvest is gleaned by many factors that I monitor daily. As I see changes in the plant,,I make changes in how I "feed" (if possible).
At a point that I feel is the time (saying a week from now is general at best. factors change!) I harvest. I make the choice about 48hrs ahead of time and use that to get my trimmers notice.

hmmmmm I heard blue cheese harvest time is rite around week 8.5 but I have heard of it being even better a week latter but then aghain it depends on the grower. do you guys go by haris that have turned also or just trichs??? also where do the trichs usually start to turn? or is it just random???

Ok next question..... I am pretty sure radicaldank42 gave some accurate information here because upon further examination, I see some lower buds with some Amber trichs now. So my question is:

Usually I feed in 7 day increments, just easier for me to schedule it that way, now that I know that these plants are maturing a bit faster than I thought, I usually flush for 7 days, would it be ok to only flush for 5?

I have 14 days left on my SCHEDULE until harvest, but I was wondering if I could just do 5 days of Dry Koolbloom and 5 days of flushing instead of 7 days of each, bringing my harvest date down to 10 days from now instead of 14.

Do you think the loss of 2 days of flushing will make that much of a difference? Im not too worried about the Dry KoolBloom, itll do its job :)

Thanks guys!

Meh nevermind lol, I'm already 48 hours into Dry KoolBloom week. Im just gonna follow my plan and it'll be fine. I didn't think anyone could really help with that one anyway, Im more technical than most people and most people just want a bag of weed haha. They don't care about my science behind the grow. Harvest in 8 days! :)

I know what you mean!! no one understansds our art that is in progress!!!! but I think you should keep to the 7 day flush. just because I always go for a longer flush. I do ten days. but im also in soil so that's my reason why id say longer. or harvest the top colas first after the 10 days and then take the restr off the 14th day and note the differeneces. that's honestly the best way
