Pipe Cleaning Help!

dont put it in boiling water the change of the temp will make the glass explode....
what you need to do is fill a pot with water and put your pieces in the water and then boil it. start off slowly and let the glass get used to the change in temps and it will be fine
this is a very effective method of cleaning but i reccommend boiling for atleast a couple minutes...it takes a little while to get everything..
and after your done just take it off the heat and let it cool down for a while
you may have to use a tooth pick or q tip to get to the hard to reach places but for the most part it should be spotless

Depends on the pipe imo, smaller ones, or ones with crazy tubes are easier to clean by boiling. All my bigger pieces get the alcohol/salt treatment, takes less than a minute and youre good to go

i would soak it in hot water nottt too hot then that will loosen up a bunch of resin and u can use a q-tip to pull that resin out then wash with salt and rubbing alcohol then if u want extra freshness rinse with scope then with water again

at first i didnt think boiling did anything but i did it a second time and left it in for a good 10 minutes and it came out spotless

just use rubbing alcohol it dissolves the resin, water doesn't

not really? i boiled the bowl from my bong as well as a diffuser both covered in resin and it really didnt smell that bad. i turned the fan on from the microwave thats right above the stove and that seemed to take care of most of it. i will agree that there will be some smell but i dont think its enough to worry about. just spray some fabreeze.
but if you are worried about smell at all i would use the alcohol method. it can be just as effective and you wont get a smell. i just think boiling seems to do a better job and is the easiest way for me

no, you rinse the alcohol out with water after the resin has been removed by the alcohol

Oxyclean and boiling water in a glass bowl....

I did this with my glass bubbler as well and it worked perfect. I use a tea kettle to boil the water. You can take the kettle off the stove before it gets to a full boil if you are concerned about the water being too hot for your glass.
